View Full Version : Reduce Guardian Time frames ?
This poll is in addition of the thread: http://forums.rampidgaming.com/showthread.php?t=797 found in OW Brainstorm section.
It is known that gods have a certain time span in which it is possible for them to spawn. This time span is too long from some.
Example:
Quiver/Sigil's TF = 60 hours
Zertan/Jazzmin' TF = 48 hours.
For more details, go read that thread ^^^^^

I agree with shortening times at least with the games current design.
I've always felt that this game was designed around 5 minutes of intense interest and 23 hours 55 minutes of sitting in anticipation, which is boring. Decreasing spawn windows would be awesome and wouldn't effect the economy because it would still spawn sometime around the specific timeframe.
If Rampid would design more content around continous motivation to do something I wouldn't think this to be needed.

What they really need to do is introduce 15-20 new gods, completely new items to go along with them so that other people will go for them and THEN decrease spawn times so stuff like sigil and quiver can be taken easier by smaller crews to help boost them...

As long as the reforged is the best weapon in the game no amount of new gods will help anyone take Sigil/Quiver.

I thought Quiver was +/- 30 hours making it a 60 hour window.
I thought Quiver was +/- 30 hours making it a 60 hour window.
i thought that too ... but i just asked master to gimme source code for that .. lol .. so it's not really +/-30 .. its actually -30/+18
edit: or so i think .. i'm confused now ... if this is right, quiver should spawn on sigil in the next 2 hours .

Change Window time, not spawn time - Thus it doesn't change how many blades would be on any server but does make it less tiresome.

I think its fine the way it is. That way you have to make rather large sacrifice to go for good gods, and the server doesn't flood with their items either. Also, I think elite crew should be able to dominate, because they spend more time and effort to keep this all together. I know this because I have brought a crew from the bottom to the top, or near it at least.

The large margin means crews can't skill up 5 minutes before the "window" and have them last the entire time. Granted, you still can for some gods (ones that spawn often), but some of the harder ones you can't.
It's the same reason spawn times are kept secret, it requires better planning to get the god than if you were like "Meh, start skilling an hour before, move everyone there and lets see who can click form and launch fastest.." lol

I can appreciate that Justin but look at it from our prospective. There is really NOTHING to do in this game "on a whim". . .Like there isn't any good rare drops to farm. The only 'repeatable' content has to be done in a crew and you need to have 5 people online.
So basically people just sit and farm gods.

Justin people dont need to skill up for sigil and quiver.. its just first crew to launch a raid
I agree though for something like ganeshan.. maybe only slice off 25% instead for the lords idk
and the spawn times arent always kept secret very well :p (DL ON FABAR!!)

yeah, i totally agree that spawn windows are too big. 60 hours is way too long. +/- 18 should be the longest as it still gives it a 36 hour window, which is still pretty big. that's a day and a half of sitting there waiting for a god to spawn...
