I think this would be a good idea. Tell me what you think.
Required levels are a good idea to keep newbs from becoming elite in one day, but there are way too many elite items that don't have required levels.
Here's my idea.
Binding Gear.
Binding Gear would mean the item is completely tradeable to however many people want to put there hands on it, but whenever someone equips the item - it makes it player bound. For instance, you have an item like a Nar Zhul item, I don't think it should be allowed to be traded once it's been equipped on someone, but it could be any item, maybe items in the new area being released soon, whatever the point may be.
I think it would be a good idea, and it would allow for elite items to be traded, but once equipped, it means people really have to work for their gear, rather then just TB ***** it constantly. Player Bound and Required levels are a great addition, but binding I think would be elite.
Commence the additional thoughts.

binding still makes it no trade so i dont se how thats better or worse, but id like to see level reqs. on all items. I really hate seeing lvl 37 with a better set then me (62) hehe, just cause i cant dish out 750$ for rampid to pimp me.

if they did this, i think everyone should get a heads up that their equipped items that will be affected will be unequipped. That way it's a fair playing field for everyone not the peopel that just got it. (yes i am including the thoughts of everyone's vaults being emptied of formerly "useless" items).
Couple things i see happening:
either crap flooding the market, how many top players with awesome gear have the old awesome gear in their vault that would flood the market?
or certain items being nearly obsolete from market....you know someone will equip it and then we go right back into the vault of useless crap when they get better, lol.
Less problems with people having to change crews to get items (cough SR cough)
Overall i see it as something that would overall be a decent idea. Not to great or too horrible, just somewhere in between.
And completely agree that player bound and level requirements are great ideas. wish SR woulda been level requirement. (coming from a guy that got SR on a level 20)

It would say "Binding" before equipped and then "Player Bound" once equipped. It's the same as Orbs are right now.

It would make gear from Stone Raven so much less of a pain in the butt to trade - It also makes a lot of sense.
I remember when they wanted to make skill orbs [No Trade] and I suggested making them bind and they did - The system obviously works much better. Crews can easily bypass [No Trade] rules so it just makes things convenient and it allows people to change there mind about wanting something they haven't equipped yet.
Notrade makes it harder since ppl will have to join the crew, then deposit points into crew (theres a big risk of getting scammed if the crew isnt serious) and then they award you the item.

theres no point in this, this makes upgrading items a waste cause you won't be able to do anything with the crap you have equiped...
this ideas pointless, idk why you would think of it, maybe to boost prices? if so thats nto gonna happen cause gods are still that easy to get...
making items binding will be a waist, you won't be able to upgrade anything with out taking big hits, espically for the top players... this would only be acceptable if you got points for getting rid of ur old items via some way, whicch isn't gonna happen..

Stone Raven gear is already [No Trade] I think you're missing the point. If you turn all gear that is already [No Trade] into then it would:
A) Not change anything "upgradeable wise"
B) Not change anything price wise
[B]C) Make trading [No Trade] Gear efficient, people do it now legally, it's just a pain in the butt.
D) Stop players who buy these items from having to wait.
Being able to put these items on the tradeblock initially would be kind of cool and it would have no effect on anything you just said.

See I disagree with the whole "lvl 37s cant be leet" crap. Power shouldnt be absolute in the game. If someone has the resources to get more powerful gear whether its by buying points or if they just found a good point income system, they shouldnt be prohibited to do so.

nothing prohibits us from doing so at lower levels, except skills. The reason for that oen should be really easy to see. But say I'm 36 with really good items, and ambush/ vit x sure i probably will not get in the best crew on the server, but there is always a chance to get in a really decent crew. But with the same concept of level 10s not able to get BFA it would only make sense that they shouldn't be able to get really great items that will give them better stats than someone with BFA......

Yeah they should. If they have access to the points than I see no reason to stop them.

Great idea... sorta like they have it in WoW. and they could also put in the treasury to unbind items. just a thought. great idea tho. I love it.
Instead of SR gods being playerbound from the getgo they should be binding. Other gods stay the same they are now.

Treasury upgrade to unbind item completely undermines the idea of binding in the first place, in my opinion.
