Augment idea....

Alright, i've been thinking, and came up with an idea like this...

Treasury
Blank Augment - 50 points
(just as it says, a blank augment)

Ways to get the augment better
Treasury
+1 HP (max 20) - 1 Point
+1 attack (max 20) - 1 point
+1 EXP (max 15) - 5 Points
+1 RPT (max 15) - 5 Points
+1 Ramp (max 3) - 7 points
+1 Crit (max 2) - 10 points
+10 Max Rage (max 200)- 5 points
+10 resist (max 30) - 15 points
+10 elemental attack (max 30) - 15 pts

thats not a bad idea, customizing augs would be cool.

It's a good idea but you need to not only limit the max one each one, but you need to limit the max as to how many fields you can have. I.E. Blank augment - Max 2 fields, Shiny Blank Augment - Max 3 fields 100 points, Elite Blank augment 250 points - Max 4 fields, Uber Blank Augment 400 points- Max 5 fields, or something like that.

By fields I mean, HP is a field, XP is a field, RPT, etc. You should get the point. Then of course each field is maxed, like you have. Max rage needs a max of 150 per and resist needs a max of 50. This would really rake in the points for OW and allow custom augments for whatever. SR crews would like Resist and RPT, personal players might want MR, XP, RPT, etc. you get the point.

it would be a great idea..i dont think they should be found in DC tho..i think that the augment upgrade items should be from random raids and from difficult quests

Also a good idea. Mind you we should try and avoid +1 stuff. i mentioned this in another thread

well, for this, it would be a base of 50 points (which i think is fair) and you can put whatever you want on the aug, EXCEPT if you have HP, you obv cant have attack (both regular and elemental). if you have base attack, you can put elemental attack, same with resist. 100,200,300,400 is way too much, i think keep the base price of the aug at 50 points, the fact you can only have a max of ____ stats should be ok, and no atk/hp combos

and the +1 stat increase i think is good, but there should be a ___ blank spot next to the item so if u want to buy multiples, you can instead of doing individually. say you want +5 HP, put 5 in the blank spot next to +1 hp and hit buy, and it will upgrade +5 HP.


also, after you buy the aug, it becomes no trade, BUT you CAN transfer it to your multies (if ur spending all these points, might as well be able to do so)

You need to limit the amount of fields on the augment though or make it like I said for other augments but still blank. Just like augments you find in DC, some have more fields then others. Otherwise a 50 point augment for unlimited fields is way too crazy. People would go insane and buy like 40 to aug every slot lol.

No way, that's way to cheap - max field for 50 is 2, each after that goes up by 100-200 points easily.

i definitely love the idea. Im pretty sure alot of people would make sure they got exactly what they wanted on an augment and not have to go with the treasury premades.

I agree with prices being way too cheap though. These need to have a price to match the nice stats you can get on the aug.

i think it would be good for both rampid, and of course the players. granted they may have to take augment packs out, who would buy random stuff when they could custom make an aug? lol

Possibly, but its a big part of PP - maybe make it a blank aug instead of aug pack? Idk lol

Yea PP would feel the shaft if all we got was random augs no where near as good as the new augs.


I also think it would be nice (IF they added this) to allow us to spend points to add another stat to a current aug we have. I have over 10 treasury bought augs (3 block/1crit, 50rpt) and would be a little disappointed, lol. If i could spend another 50-100 points to add another stat to them it would be nice

I may be wrong here, but I think the revenue made by this idea would definitely make up for if not exceed what augment packs brought in. AT the same time, now that I think about it, there's also a good chance of people still buying augment packs knowing there's a chance to get 4 really nice augments for the same price if not cheaper than buying a custom augment.

i know all about augment packs, i've spent about 2.5K points on augment packs alone. the concept of the augment pack is fun, yes...but lets face it, its a huge gamble. i hate spending all those points on a pack and getting 2 +3exp augs and 1 +1hp aug, and i'm sure many of you do too, so instead of taking this risk, why not put the points towards an augment that fits your taste better? the bigger accounts and guys who got lots of money/points to blow...can make 1 single augment upwards of a few hundred points, and i'm sure a lot of these accounts dont even have a thought of buying the aug packs OR the current augs on there because they may not like 1 of the things on the augment. i don't know...but what what i do know, is i wanna hear from justin or one of the other main guys :)

It's a nice idea but id rather just buy an uber sexy anarchy aug or a sexy fury augment lol... for the price it would cost to make the aug nice it would be as dear as the current augs... and not as good :|
