Show us the damage that was reduced due to Armor Class and Spell Resistance.
For instance...
Player1 hits you with his sword for 200(130 mitigated) damage... meaning player2's armor class saved them from taking a total of 330 damage.
Player2 hits you with kick ass fireball for 2300(1200 mitigated) damage... fire resistance saved them from a total of 3500 damage.
We have armor & spells that protect from melee attacks and spell resistance from leather armor & spells but we don't know how much damage is actually being reduced each time we are attacked or attack. It would be helpful to know.

I like this idea except
id do it like this
2300! Damage! (1100 DR) DR = Defence Reduced. and this would be smaller then the other so the 2300! Damage would be in a bigger font etc
Anyways nice idea :P
i went on a bit there xD

Have an option to turn that on and off if you add it. would be annoying in certain instances such as leveling. would be nice in PVP

I suppose it could be annoying? In other games I play, I don't even notice it unless I really want to look at it. I actually think it would be helpful in PvE as well. We would be able to learn what bosses/mobs take the most damage from a specific spell color.

well i keep my screen small so when the chat is at its smallest its still takes up enough room. and if it added in the damage reduced. it would be like 2-3lines for 1 attack.

Thats probably something thats reasonable to do, nothing highly technical about it.
