Eyes of Burn -- Levels 50-55

“The Eyes of Burn” is a place where nature seems at odds with itself. Lava pits scar the landscape as far as you can see. Frequent eruptions have even created rivers of lava. Despite this, life has a hold here. Strange creatures adept at surviving in and around lava, roam this scarred landscape.
It was “The Eyes of Burn” where the humanoids we call Gangsters landed over a century ago. “The Event” and its far-reaching effects are what attracted the Gangsters to this place. They were not welcomed, and the war that fallowed raged for over two years. This war cost the inhabitants of our world dearly, but gained nothing.
Although the war is long over, distrust and hate still live here, leaving festering wounds in the landscape and its people. Unanswered questions fueled by wild rumors, keep the hate alive. Why did the Gangsters come here? What do they want?

I think it's targeted for levels 50-55.... The mobs are probably close to that level or able to beat by that level.

well the reason i asked is because certain programs, such as corel painter/draw and adobe products have special textured bgs that come with them, and wacom tablet, to make it look for drawn than digitial.

Ya but. . .they also added point drops to all gods. . .Something they didn't have to do. . .Meaning even if you're level 50-55 and in a horrible crew you can take the first 5 'newbie gods' as well as a few of the 'original 5' and pay for it without every giving Rampid anything.

dunno what server you're on or what kind of items you have, but is it really that hard to find a crew? I know it was a little difficult for me being below level 55 (51) and only having SR, but I was looking at the really nice crews. I ended up making my own and not doing too bad. I must say the point drops from gods was a really nice addition and I shall not complain about points when there is an easy way to get them without buying them. BTW my crew got garland as only god so far, lol, so it's not like we got loads of points off gods.

As much as SR flooded the market, can you imagine how bad the economies would have been, had there been no point cost? I think it's not a bad idea to pay to get the gods with nice drops like that.

It's not really hard to kill the first 5 'newbie' gods with 20-25 people. That's why those gods were designed. . .Free points.

Got 25 guys in your crew? Move them to Wan (the easiest god and spawns everyday) and try for him every once in awhile - Practice getting faster and faster.

My crew is by no means 'uber'. We tried for aug gods for awhile but could never get them due to timing - We ended up with 7-8 kills in the last 2 weeks or so from all the practice and getting there faster over time.

Well not all people are rich, not all crews are fair. so charging to get into a area is totally lame. ow gets money from people buying gods, potions, personal, crew upgrades, etc. so its totally unjust to charge to get into any dc room/area. Bad enough they lamely charge for making crews now days. and yes i expect people to rebut all this. bit what i say is 100% true.

I have never and never will buy points off rampid, yet I have one of the best sets on my server, and I'm the leader of a strong crew...Lots of my members have never bought anything from rampid. Outwar is about hard work. The people who are known to buy everything dont get as much respect as the rest of outwar. You can do anything you want in OW without having to buy points.

first of all...those of you complaining about not having pts, if ur not in a strong enough crew to take whan and get free pts, why would you want to go to the ruins of bacaba? if u cant take whan, then you deff cant take a sr god, which means you probably wont be able to take a BRoB god(i just made that one up:D).
and also...if your complaining about charging for making a crew, just go to the treasury and look at the price. if im not mistaken, a lv 1 crew is like 25 pts. its not that hard to get 25 pts without buying. hit the bounty list, sell ost or champ. then when you get your crew and u get strong enough, you will be taking gods that give you FREE pts. i mean c'mon what more do you want?

I think it's a good idea even though i can't go there yet cause i'm only a level 44.. seriously though, it pisses me off knowing that i need almost double my exp untill i can go to a place like this. Also Create a zone for lower levels (even though that is what you're trying to do) b/c i don't know of many people around my lvl that aren't pissed that they can't compete with the higher levels who are always getting new and better things.

Since you're working on a Gangster backstory, I thought it would be cool if you were to incorporate the Mob Bosses in the Smugger's Haven, Dungeon of Eternal Shadow, and Shamen Xin'Tok in Rancid's Camp.

If this is a sign of 2 more updates, one for Popstars and Monsters, it would be cool have quests involving the Mob Boesses in The Forgotten Backroom, The Grand Ball Room, and the Ruins of Old Stizzy for Popstars. And then the Mob Bosses in Monster Alley, The Festering Grove, and the Court of the Despised for Monsters.

They could even be class exclusive quests. But then, you'd probably want to release all of these new areas and quests at the same time.

they upgraded the exp needed to get to lvl 50, and if they didnt, I wouldve been 2lvls higher then I was now, so they really should add something for the noobs, not with nice hot drops or something, I don't want to disrupt their plannings for the eye of burning lands, but I just think it's getting harder to reach 50, random hitlist, ppl attacking for strength, it's all going crazy, and still they only add for the higher lvls, which I don't blame them, but the higher lvls are having it so good already

I hope this will be a new szechian type of area.. I`m kind of bored right now, nothing else but camping, not much actions these days... Thing is szechian and WOZ were the most important updates around these couple of years I`m playing.. Since none of us really know if there will be another WOZ round, and the szechian is kind of noobish since lowering the minimum level for pot quests and stuff, I sure hope EoB will the shit! Im not talking about stupid quests, the items droped/crafted, and stuff like that, I only care about the general impression this new area will leave to us..
Frankly, I never did any SR round, even thou I payed couple of them, and it kind of hurts me seeing nowadays, OW gravitates around the stupid SR and the ubered economy in existence. Where is the old feeling? All you can feel this days is the emptiness of your pockets along with the boredeness..

Well snake if rampid wants earn more money less time on crappy COP work on more good idea's new SR 1.5 suck pretty much nick doesn't have any good idea's that we would enjoy. Only if the dam admin's would take our idea's for once aug backbag thats going be nick 9 year project. Unfortunately no. The most I could get from Greg was that the zone, storyline, and quests associated with them have been expanded a lot since the original time estimate was given, so it's obviously taking a bit more time to finish development. That is Greg's main project right now though.
