*This was a quest I made up a few months ago that I sent in, so it's still in that format.*

Here is a summary of my quest. It is kind of like an epic, like the Shield of Aces and Sacred Blade quests.
Summary: Talk to the Newspaper Boy at the main intersection (Main/Angelio), to recieve news that Outwar Man has been spotted, and that the Chief Editor is paying for pictures of him. Travel to Chief Editor who's located in the Hard Iron Saloon. Talk to him to hear him confirm that he is indeed in need of pictures of Outwar Man, and that he will reward you nicely for the pictures. Find Outwar Man (located in the same room as Zertan). Talk to him to learn that he will allow you to take pictures of him, but only if you bring him "Peggy Sue's Love". Locate Peggy Sue (she's located in the badlands, in the room with Veronica Nightslayer) and learn that she will not let you bring her love to Outwar Man without first killing The Yellow Troll 50 times. Accept the quest, then talk to her again to learn that before you can challenge The Yellow Troll, you must first kill 100 demonic spiders, 100 runic sabertooths, 100 criminal masterminds, and 50 entropic horrors, as well as killing Rancid, Synge, ZugZug, the Arcane Composer, and Gunsmoke 5 times each. After you defeat these mobs, go back to Peggy Sue who will tell you that you can now go fight the Yellow Troll. He is in the Dead Ends, in the same room as Lord Suka. You must kill The Yellow Troll 50 times, and he costs 1,000 rage to attack. He is about as hard as a Diabolical Wraith. After you kill him 50 times, go back to Peggy Sue, who will ask for one last thing from you. She needs 5 kinetic potions, 1 Necklace of Strife, 1 Crest of Arms, 1 Plate of the Wild, and one elemental set (the actual pieces, not just 8/8/8/8/8). After you hand this stuff in, you will receive "Peggy Sue's Love". Go to Outwar Man and hand in the love. He will give you his "Neckpiece of Outwar", which has the following stats: (and this is with no gems) 300 HP, 300% income, 150 EPT, 150 RPT, 15% Rampage, 2,500 Max Rage, 15% Critical. He will also hand you an "envelope of pictures", which you then hand into the Chief Editor, who awards you with 200,000 experience and the "Editorial Augment", which has: 50 HP, 25 EPT, 25 RPT, 3% Rampage, 100 Max Rage, 3% Critical.

Congratulations!

Notes: To start this quest you must be level 45.
The Yellow Troll should re spawn every 15 20 minutes.
If this quest gets published, along with any points I may receive, I would like, when you post the news bulletin of this new quest, have it say at the bottom: "Thanks to Valentino (Fabar) for submitting this quest."
I understand that the stats for the item and augment might be a little high, feel free to trim them down a bit, but I think the stats are worth it considering the items you must hand in.

New Mobs: Newspaper Boy, Chief Editor, Outwar Man, Peggy Sue, The Yellow Troll.

New Items: Peggy Sue's Love, Neckpiece of Outwar, and Editorial Augment. (All of these are no trade).

If you wish to contact me, you can message me here on outwar, or Instant Message me at DonValentino91.

Thank You for your time.

And what's worse than short-attention span for players to read your idea, players will be even more disinclined to do your quest because you have to kill a TON of mobs.
Not even Sacred Blade had that many mobs to kill.
There should be more collection portions and less killing portions. That would keep the excitement up and the repetitiveness down.

well then how about just an admin reads this and makes it happen, cuz its a sick ass quest

Epic 2.0 for the Reforged Blade is just as bad if not worse from what I can make out from the post.

Not worth the trouble. Its bad enough that they added the new cave quests that ended up costing people tens of thousands of rage for....what....maybe 15-20K exp or so?

Nevermind, in hindsight, they'd probably adopt this quest idea.

Their right, all of the newest quests just guzzle rage to a ridiculous point. I know their trying to make it challenging, but all that does is make people have to wait around longer to attack the mobs again either for the kill or an item drop.

What they REALLY need to do is add back-and-forth quests with real deep stories, kinda like Officer Thompson and Officer Tubbs back in the day :p Theres a quest that actually had some meaning to it, and affected other areas of DC. This new cavern bit with the lost boy and the old woman is just.. boring :(

This would be really good, if some things were tweaked on it.

Yeah I waited for someone else to do it. I'm glad I didn't waste rage potions and all that on the quest. I haven't even done it yet lol. I'm glad I didn't waste my time.

There should be more quests that will make people learn to help each other, bind together as a crew, and teamwork. The StoneRaven is one good example. It helped a lot of crews become good tacticians, plan ahead economize work together and make out the best team effort.

Something like that gives players positive character values.

Why do we need even more EPIC quests ¬.¬.
I personally don't like it, its flawed in ways, but I think he is too far up his own ass to realise.

I don't think they will adopt this quest Idea, But I do think they need some new random quests. They don't always need a 1337 item rewards, just a few thousand EXP which can coincide with DCing, I think they would be plenty worth doing.

i am for new quests, because just dc'ing for exp is boring, very very boring.

normal quests will do ;)

Epics are fun cuz they actually have a story, and a purpose, and normally a medal/seal/leet item to show off that you've finished it. We need more quests that link to eachother and affect the gameplay, not just "kill this guy, heres your 15k exp"

really? 50k rage for the yellow troll?damn

If a new epic quest does come up it should be for lower level individuals. This is because the quests for the lower levels dont offer much and an epice quest would be useful for serious individuals at lower levels. (Although it would have to be extremely long over like 20 levels and give enough exp to move through them.)

Wizzy

That would defeat the purpose of the game. The point is to get to higher levels and grow and have such quests available to you with a leet reward/medal/whatever.

If you had epic quests available to lower levels, it would defeat the purpose. It's called EPIC for a reason.

Well, why trim them, that would make it not worth it to do. I'd rather have the stats increased, like make the ungem hp 550+ and about 200+ ept/rpt and like 3k max rage :) But the rampage and critical are nice. The augment is nice. But I still like Scarab, second best neck in the game :D
