Linux client ...when ?

It took me awhile to realize that you no longer use the old forums since you haven't closed them or redirected them to here.

A new forum deserves a new thread about it ;)

From what I understand you are not planing on making a Linux client in the beta testing stages which is too bad :(
I wonder when will you DO make a Linux client for COP ? can you give us at least an estimation ?
And no , making this game work somehow with wine will not do the trick as the performance will drop drastically and with every update (wine or COP) there would be a great chance of the game not working as it is with other games.

You know there are a LOT of FREE MMORPG's out there and what makes this MMORPG unique for me is the promise on making a native Linux client so we could also enjoy this game.

we won't have an official mac/linux client ready for the full launch since more of our efforts are getting the core of the game polished up...we do have someone porting it over to MAC and most likely linux as well but it won't be right away, sorry.

Sorry for bugging you again, but I think that a LOT of people in the community will be very interested in this game...

Now that you have officially "out of beta" it is a good time to release a Linux client for other people to test and play the game.
I know that at least 30% of regnum online game players are Linux users (and this was about a year ago).

When we could play the game we can also suggest stuff for you.
I don't even know how your quests were built so I can't comment - I hope that they aren't similar to regnum's online "go there-choose the longest path-come back in the longest possible route" kind of quests, which are irritating.

Thanks for your continued interest in a Linux client. We are not currently working on one but I feel that the Linux community would be extremely receptive to our game. I'd like to see a Linux port in the future but its not currently slated for development.

Oddly enough it's because some of us actually like/tolerate each other. Or have nothing better to do. But yes, the game sucks.

If you really want it on linux just use wine.
I've never met a windows program I couldn't run on linux with it.
