This is how fair loot goes in CoP, based on how we have been doing it for the last couple months:

1) All ppl in group that helped spawn it or kill it have the rights to roll
2) If somebody comes along after the boss was spawned and you invite them to group to kill, regardless if you could solo it, they still deserve rights to roll for the loot.
3) Generally in the group, if somebody needs an item and another doesnt need it, only for selling, then the person who needs it should take it... eg. Blazo drops from savage, theres two people in group, one needs it as he is red/white. other doesnt as he is green/black, therefore red white person should get it.
4) If you need the item for a multi, you still stay on the same platform as the selling people.
5) as Justin said, if they dissagree, do what we do, and kick their asses :P, and if u cant kill them, call me ill be glad to help, i hate loot stealers and ninja looters :S

I bring this up as last night I watched as a group of players raided PoN, four items drop and then the rolls began. Two of the four items went to players that weren't of that particular colour, even though on the whole players were rolling by colour.

Now I wasn't there, so that instance doesn't really bother / affect me, however if I had been I'd have been rather annoyed to lose a relevant colour item that I need to another player not of that colour just because of some special exception.

For me the colour rule is clear and simple and because of that works best, sometimes your colour drops, sometimes not, but at least that way you're not competing against too many ppl when yours does drop.

For me, colours that *need* and took part in the kill should roll first, and then everyone else second if no relevant colour needs. By "everyone else" I refer to multi's (unless they're the one actually there at the time), sale, friends, fellow guildies, colours that already have item / rune etc.

I'm tempted to suggest that colour items should only be equipable by players of that colour, it may well help.

Just my thoughts :)

Cheers, Rich.

hmmm

we did PoN also last night (the run before you guys did). We got 6 items and we rolled fairly on them.

- Only players with those colours rolled for the specific item
- Winners of an item allready were excluded for rolling on the other items

I think you should settle agreements with the players you are doing something with first before you take action. Thats how i like to do and that works good.

My tip: When you see that they dont agree on that, just dont help them and wait for players that are fair and not greedy.

hmm well twilight, i posted that a few weeks ago just as general knowledge as to how the rolling used to work and what everybody agreed on. Now it seems that half of these rules change, almost every day :S

I mean for example, people are rolling for their colours saying they will use, and next day they are sseing them on trade chat, which extremely pisses everybody off.

I think as long as ur grouped, there should just be some system in it. Ninjalooters, stuff of your colours. Its still to much based on the fairness of players...
I hope their will be something to deal with this in a patch sometime soon...

We have plans very soon to increase the group size to 10 and we had in the works a looting GUI etc that is more consistant with up to date MMO standards but it isn't done yet.

That's good to know, thanks for the feedback Ferocity :).
