bringing back masteries probably wouldn't be hard for the programmers, and it's a good way to keep people entertained and to show off their stats. I love hitting the HL, but it looks a little self centered showing my HL stats to any1 that will look lol. If i could have masteries back, you could just see how nice I am at getting crew hits by looking at my profile.

If they brought back masteries they have to give them a use, for example

offensive mastery:attack increases slightly per lvl - at higher lvls crit get a slight boost.
defence mastery: hp gets slight boost per lvl - at higher lvls block get a slight boost.

Crew hit mastery - increased experience stripping during crew hits.
Defensive hit mastery - increased attack and hp when attacked.

The bonus would increase for every level, nothing extreme though or else it might seem imbalanced.

the mastery was 1 of my favorite parts of ow. it was something u could constantly try to achieve. and if it was removed do to ppl using auto atkers to get high mastery how bout make an xp stripped mastery that way ppl wouldnt just run atk pages with 2 rage. cuz it would b clear that they are cheating snce there strip was so low with such high amount of hits.

mastery was definately 1 of the best things on outwar and 1 of the things that got me totally into outwar. Removing it was like almost removing half of the peoples goals on outwar.

Adding bonuses to the masteries will just be abused, where people will just attacking multis for the offensive mastery, attack themselves with their own multis for defensive mastery and hl mastery can be abused same way as offensive mastery. I wouldnt mind having them back just the way they were before. Little glowy sticks for every XXX attacks, defends, crew hits. No buffs needed... I just like to see my progress<---- #1 reason I love the top 50 board. Who doesn't? :)

Thats the best idea I've heard, and it doesn't affect actual crew gods or DC'ing, it affects the actual application of it. I don't think it could be a massive amount though, minuscule numbers at most, it would get too ridiculous otherwise.

The numbers wouldn't be large enough to make it worthwhile to be abused, but at the same time reward the players who really do attack people.

Ya a small bonus from every mastery lvl wouldn't be enough to change anything, it would be just that a nice small bonus for working hard on the masteries.

and i don't get what you guys are saying about auto attackers, generally people who use them get caught, and you learn to know whos legit on the masteries ;), ie people who've dominated it for like ever :)

people ran multis on themself to have 10 rank def and ran aa's on people by addind people to the hitlist and removing them and adding new people, then hitting them all with 2 rage to get high ranks because crew hits counted for double hits
