Next Weeks Event

I wanted to toss a quick note out there about next weeks event, and what to expect in the future.

So, I will be running the onsite events from here on out... I'm going to try and make them as frequent & fun as possible.

I'll be honest, I have been working on the site now for a long time. However, I am not as familiar with our content tools as I would like to be (expessially our new ones).

So, my first event will be somewhat, average. As in, I wont be throwing any curve balls at you just yet :) This event will be the start of many more to come, so, my objective with it, is to make it as successful as possible, and get the ball rolling.

Yes there will be new items.... recipes, potions, quests ect ect...

If you have suggestions for other types of live events that you would like to see run on the site, please submit them in the brainstorm thread. I know there are other ideas that have yet to be explored in this area.

That's it... now back to finishing these quests up.

There should be more quests like the zimbobist/fabarists though, that deal with ele resistance... Like maybe 4-5 diffrent classes? meh who knows... Long quests stink though...

I am just hyped up for next week :)... Nick, can you give mabey a link to 1 item? or post stats plz? (i am sure everyone would love you for ever if you did)

Ya this is coming... Big Greg is all over it. Just cant be that fast for obvious reasons. I think he is planning on putting up some concept art up here on the forums soon?

all i want is those items to be in the slots we need them, cause if i see another head item with fire reisist or a belt with shadow resist they will pretty much suck :(

Belt is the worst slot. If you can't get Obliv, the next best is the SR cord...which last I checked are selling for about 100 points on Sigil :))

Whatever it is i hope its tradable nothing is more annoying then nontrade items lol, but one things for sure if these items are easy for every player to get there hands on the outwar economy will go right down once again :S

Hopefully its not one of those server wide raids like Blackhand, Sandleman, and Fangore. If its anything like the war of zhul, then awesome. I remember having more rage than I could handle then lol. Hopfully it would be that way with exp this time.

Forget the items for now.. think about this

Outwar needs like wizzy said, a quest with a story line.. but even more.. an actual plot.

Start with a villain blah blah blah, then in order to finish it all you need to go through different episodes just like a comic book. Each episode will consist of puzzles, quests, and hidden things that will be actually DIFFICULT to solve/find. Such as hiding clues in source codes, hidden links to secret places which are necessary for completing the episode. What you can do is have a set list of prizes and give them out at the end according to how far your account got in the plot.. sorta like how Neopets does their Wars/Plots

Wow you plan on doing this often? I'm excited, even if it's only mediocre material at first. Anything to help mix up the gameplay that's been the same for too long.

how about implementing more normal dc mobs for the higher levels...no one likes hitting in stizzy anymore...not to mention up the stats of the items that drop from them...i dont think even level 10s use 140 hp boots

For each sectional level there should be a mob boss 10-25 26-45 45-60 60+ with items that are better than usual or special stats like fire damage item for 26-45 orbs and potions would be nice too

Ok, so I worded it wrong :p I meant that they may change things such as the amount of people who get the essences from shards, you were right with it being the top 5 last time. They may change it to top 3, or top 7- who knows. I wish they would install a leaderboard though. A ranking system to view who has turned in many shards. But perhaps people would just neg accounts to stop them from getting shards- it would be an interesting idea.

I can't wait to see what they have in store for us. Hopefully a bunch of new items :)

thats easy with doing 2 sr runs daily what they do that is 200k just from quests and about 40k from exp he gets so about 450k and with daily grind and totem can do about 100k dc a hour in sr

If you join #ztb or almost any crew chat and ask for a link, anyone at any given time can give you it which means the obviously frequent the site. Even if someone posts on SB 'I USE A DCAA', thats still not PROOF that they do, its could be someone just getting a laugh in. Unless admins can physically see someones desktop, they can't really proove it IMO.

If they did do whatever they want which they can, they'd lose alot of customers if they make the wrong choices. It's in their best interests to please us and do so FAIRLY. If they can't decide on a fair way or full-proof way to do it then that's just too bad =(

Nuff of this dcaa bs, its about Woz and yes admins are nice enough to warn people who use them once again which probably means they have implemented something that might make it so they can detect "auto programs" obviously they wont go and say now we can detect programs so don't use them, they give a simple reminder.

Honestly so just relax about the whole dcaa stuff, this thread is about the coming event. Which i know i am surely looking forward towards.

If I had to make an 'educated guess' of when it will be released, i'd say tomorrow, due to the fact it was meant to be a surprise, so if its a surprise I doubt they would release it long before its up. Its probably all done and coded, now just to load the mobs and go from there. Tomorrow would be realistic, although if its an extra day or 2, who really cares.
