is it just me or was the sigil point economy terrible for months...but within the past few days i think everything is going back up in price...looks like alot of people are buying items and for more reasonable prices rather than the rediciously low prices they were a short time ago..i may have been from the point and a half day promotion, but whatever happened, looks like the economy is getting better.

I hope so.

Think of it as a little Outwar economy stimulation package, brought to you by Rampid! :D

people will only buy it at them prices cause they have just had a point day give it a week or 2 they will be low again u should just cap sr to make them items few and far between now if u want the prices to rise

I'm curious how often people change their prices for good items. Sometimes the demand is still there (and the points), but maybe not that specific day. If I were a player I'd wait (even if people stop buying) to change prices for at least a week or so.

I usually wait a good week or two before I drop prices on the items we sell.

I still fail to see how gods being more expensive could possibly a good thing.

I think its more like. Gods being expensive relative to the cost of other things that require points as well such as treasury items.

Stimulates the economy. A weak economy has a weak trade value on anything - Hire prices equate to a more stable economy meaning that in the end, on Non-SR items (which are effected by SR prices) will be traded more often because people aren't afraid the value will plumet over night.

What, you guys still havent maxed out your accounts with the treasury with all the points you made from gods?

yeah Justin's right if you guys don't drop prices players will be forced to buy at the prices demanded, it is crews that raid gods who run the economy not outwar. outwar however could just drop the rate of gods from raids, which i totally agree with because at least then players will be forced to sell high.

Egnar

Crews who raid gods dictate prices, however, as more of these gods get put into the economy more 'players' have them. . .Players/crews try to undercut other players/crews and thus is where the problem starts.

the economy is terrible, it's almost impossible to even sell items for the gems worth on outwar. the stim pack is keeping a terminal patient going a little longer. the outwar economy is still circling the drain. there needs to some some standard on prices cos otherwise the economy will still rely on these stim packs.

Nah, like most games, continuous content will be what keeps the economy going. Existing items are always bettered eventually.

Unfortuantly, however, Stone Ravens ability to be done so often has completely crippled it. Our economy was some what decent before then and was controlled by caps and spawn times.

Gotta agree with the masses here...economy isn't great, and it's because of SR.

As much as I enjoy doing it, when the second best belt on the game (SR cord) can be purchased for 100 points, that's not a great economy.

It's all about supply and demand. If SR would have been somehow limited, this wouldn't have happened. Eh well, hindsight is 20/20, and it's okay so long as a lesson was learned. Far as I know no blood was spilled...

Other servers should do what Torax is doing. The high powered crews who have the power to stop it are working together by raping anyone who sells below the prices being set by them. It seems to work a little bit too.

Indeed it does. Its funny though in the irc chat when people keep saying 'You can't stop people from selling cheap' Of course you can. Permanent Strikedown=can't win SR

crews on sigil are an long way from working together;) wont happen fast.

its so true, i could however see a possibility of someone on sigil to continuously SD a crew trying to do SR runs though

Well on torax right now theres not many augs going around because of the 12 hour limit on SR now, so at least those prices are going up. As for Sr gods the only things that seem to be selling good are graces cuz they rarely drop anymore.

Thats the most underhanded tactic ive ever heard. Maybe outwar should lower the prices of potions to match the economy. Hell, if I ever manage to form a crew that can do gods Ill prolly just give them away to the lowest levels for free.

Egnar

It may be underhanded but, it's smart because it forces people to keep prices up high, or, makes it very difficult for them to sell it low.

Any action taken to undercut or undermine another business is considered illegal and the law protects against such. Good thing for Torax, Outwar doesn't follow such laws. lol.

The top crews wont be able to track it if youre giving gods away for free...
