RampidPay requires you to fax or mail-in a current, valid Photo ID AND a personal document verifying your identity. Please also print and include this cover letter
This makes me kind of mad... Not only do i spend very much money on this game, but now you want me to work hard for paying you guys more? Scann my Passport and Birth Certificate... i mean, thats just lame!
I understand this is for safety measures, but why the heck couldnt you make a possability to email all this junk to you guys? Cuz now i have that tiny bit of a problem that i dont friggin own a damn FAX machine :|
If you wount help me to help you, i will no longer be able to help you. Please, for all of our sakes, make this difficult shit a little less difficult!

If you contact Stacey she could probably discuss options with you that would make it easier. The form to get a call is on that page.
You are right though, it's simply for security. In turn we hope that the double points for your next purchase will make any trouble you encounter more than worth it. :)

hmm, does anyone know if stacey ever gets on aim anymore? last i heard she was not on aim for like a few weeks : /, so i don't even bother buying points cause i always have to verify and i don't feel like waiting if shes not on aim.

She doesn't have the time for AIM. She was getting spamed with too many non-billing related messages.

please please for all of our sakes end this non sense. I tried to buy points today as well and got that question. I know I've spent alot in the past but I was only trying to spend 30 bucks today, LOL. I've used this credit card in the past and it has worked fine. Infact today I purchase Preferred Player and it went off my credit card. I did get asked security questions such as where was my old address etc... and I answered all of them correctly of course. But see now my Preferred Player hasn't been activated yet and it's been taken off of my Credit Card. Well it shows a gold star on my profile, but no rewards yet! Can't post on the shoutbox for free either. :(
I don't know, you guys are really making this hard on everyone by adding forms like this. No one wants to go to a Library to fax something for a game after they have had a long day of work, I know I don't. I'm not trying to be complicated here either. I did call you guys tonight 2 times and well you're machine came on. I tried calling at 6 and 8. I guess you have regular office hours. I'll try to call sometime tomorrow or hopefully she'll call me on my cell and confirm my information and what all she has to confirm. I've never had to do this when I have purchased from other gaming sites for gaming items, currency, or even items when I'm shopping online. I just hate that you have to do this fraud stuff, it's just a big time hassle. Wish there was a way you can find out and make sure we are who we are on our ccs and account by asking us questions verifying to the credit card while making the purchase to verify we are the person on the cc.

The problem is that im going to a Folk Highschool now - a norwegian Acting College. And we have classes all day... And there is like a 30 minute drive to the closest post office, which can be a problem when i dont own a car.
And since Stacey is basically never on AIM, it isnt the easiest option. I would suggest you guys make a possibility to email it to you...

Considering I am in belgium and eventually the funds will become an issue for me I'd love to see other alternatives myself. I don't even know of any place with a fax machine thats near by to be honest and I am sure to do an international something or other on them will get costly if even an option.

What you all fail to realize is this is not unique to Rampidpay. In fact, many online sites now days require this kind of authentication after either:
1) Spending X amount of money
2) Being sent Y amount of money (P2 sites)
This is to protect your credit card and your identity really. You're given a fairly hefty limit of $500 to start with and all Rampid is really asking you to do is prove who you are.
E-mails are pretty hard to suffice because it's very easy to doctor files on the computer.
Like it was already said all you have to do is go to your free library, get it faxed for 10-15cents or. . .Have it sent through snailmail for roughly 30-50cents postage. It's really not a lot to ask considering whatever your next purchase. . .You double in points.

like sparda said, i wouldn't give them all that info for a simple 10 $ or 20 $ purchase. only used my credit card once on ow to buy points when daily grind skill was added and i waited for their call. of course it never came , but i got a hold of stacey on aim and she validated my purchase ;)

noone else thinks its strange that they have ur ssn, now they want a photo id and proof of identity
i just think its weird that they need a photo id i mean how do the know that picture is of me?
and y is it only on credit cards i can still pay w/ echeck with no problems at all

The form is basically to use against people who decide to try and charge back their purchases by lying to their bank and saying they didn't make them.
If you have a scanner you can scan the information and send it to support@rampidpay.com.
Ways to change the current form system will be discussed soon, so maybe it will be a little easier in the future.

does this actually work? like if you do it, they won't ask you to do it ever again??? or to verify ur self ever again?
i feel its kinda sketchy with them having your ssn, and a photo of you, every bit of info... i've gotta send in that form, but im not sure if its 100% safe... if servers of this info gets hacked or something, there goes everyones info =|

Not true, at all. We don't store this information on the servers. It gets printed out.

You can send faxes online, which is basically the same as e-mailing anyway, so the whole thing about a fax being more secure than e-mail because of possibly doctored files is a bit of bologna (no offense)

it sucks because it isn't per credit card. i have numerous credit cards and have tried them all after one was locked all were with my name on it. and 500 isn't a fair sum considering the prices over the years and the number of years i have been playing. but i would rather go play a diferant game(because no game i have ever played required this much info) before i shared even half of what was asked of me. i pay to have my identity protected by my credit card company and an individual identity protection company, my protection is not the job of rampid and i am not paying rampid to do this. and considering anything i was asked for could be falsified easily and sent in doesn't make me feel any better, i have a friend who makes these documents to fool money lenders so i am sure they would fool rampid.

Big spender isn't for YOUR protection. We offer incentives because it is in the best interest of our company. The $500 number is in the past 6 months.
If you ran an online site and someone went to spend $2,000 in a week you'd want to validate their identity fully before allowing the transaction to go through as well.

there is no completely fool-proof way of rampid validating a large transaction short of meeting every large buyer in person. This form idea is flawed and they know that but atleast this gives them alittle room to work with a person's bank when the bank calls to dispute a claim for the money back.

I don't know what to say other than it has been proven to work for us, so we must continue to do so in order to provide the game for everyone and stay in business. :)

Eh, I wont be buying points ever again either. I got that same message and I do not feel comfortable sending all my personal information to anyone. You would think after $500 dollars thats enough verification considering you have not received a call from anyone saying they have had fraudulent charges that add up to $500 dollars in the past six months..

Unfortunately there isn't much I can do for you in that case. We're discussing ways to minimize the number of documents we require, but big spender in general will stay, because simply, it works.

I agree with the fact that its a bit harsh to ask for these items. I've been playing since outwar came out... well, round 3... I've bought points along the way, because i like to support those companies that give me something to do after work, but, 500$ in the past 6 months, i have only spent 600 or so dollars on outwar myself... over MANY years... (hence why my items suck) anywho... i haven't spent $500 in the past 6 months, but i still get stopped by the big spender.. I've been wanting to switch over to another payment type, but of course, the day i go to switch to e check, it goes down >.>
I'd love to keep giving you guys money, i really would, i'm.. well off, and i figure my money should go towards the things that make me happy, and give me joy, well Ow does that, unless i'm trying to deal with bullshit semantics about my payment types and history. I could literally send you a screenshot of my point log, with blatant proof that i have not spent $500 dollars in the past 6 months. but i still get stuck at big spender....

they really arent asking all that much, and it can easily be faked. I emailed a photo of my military ID and social security card. that's not much at all......
and for justin, yea those two can easily be faked. i mean its not like you guys employ experts at pictures to see if they are real or fake..........I could just as easily used a friends ID and SS card and painted fake shit on it and you guys never would have known. and to prove this, i may just do it with one of my accounts.

I do have a very serious problem with them requireing your ss#.. this is the only place EVER that has required my ss# to use my credit card...simply because it is too dangerous.. with your name and ss#, somebody can get any info they want about you, and open multiple credit accounts in your name, commit all kinds of fraud, and basically destroy your credit and your life, maybe even have you put in jail for crimes someone else did using your id. And judging by the absolutely amateur way this website and game is run, and Rampids poor attitude to players.. its a good bet that they dont have much security in place to guard this info.

Its pretty worthless as proof of who you are anyways.. basically unless they have you come to their office in person so that they can see who you actually are.. then there is no true verification.. anybody could easily fax in a copy of anyone elses I.D info and say they are that person.. So all this really amounts to is just more hassles and aggravation for the players.
But then again, these totally awesome graphics, perfectly smooth and reliable gameplay, incredible drop rates, 30 second respawn times, extremely underpriced gaming points, and award winning customer service, are all WELL worth the added aggravation to keep playing!
Actually, I hesitated doing mine because I was lazy. I finally got around doing it yesterday and the response time was pretty fast.
I don't know why you're all *****ing about it.
