Rat Infested sewers

for the Rat infested sewers section I'm having trouble finding all the rats... I've found 2 groups of 7, but it appears teh path I take to get to rooms affects what I see there... anyone know where all the groups are? Thanks

Not sure of that quest as it's been awhile. But if I remember correctly when you accept that quest, if you go back to the beginning of dc, you'll see rats in almost every room you walk through

I know there are rats in one of the rare holes, its getting there thats the hard part.

I believe the Sewers are actually multi-layered, its really hard to see as they were designed poorly, but going at room from 1 direction, but from a different direction will get you to a different room,

if that makes sense?

ok, I have been all over. I also can not find the last 4.

I can get to all the rare holes I can see, and found the waterway secret. (if you don't know, there are a few places that the word "waterway" appears just below your home teleport link but above the map key).

I am seriously thinking that the quest is BROKEN .

Has anyone completed since the map change happened?
The ytls map is a tad out of date.

From the first square in the sewers go up 3, left 2, up 1, left 3, down 1, left 2, up 2, left 2, then down 3.when you in this room there should be a waterway _link_. click it then: up 1, right 2, down 1, left 1.your in rare hole 3. to get out of this area go to the lower right box; there should be another waterway _link_.


I don't know if that will help or not, but give it a shot.

i'm pretty sure it's been established that the quest is broken...myself and a lot of people have gotten to 21 killed (which includes rare hole three), and the rest just aren't there.

Has anyone found Rare Hole 1? This is the one that everyone seems to be having trouble with. Most everyone has found Rare Holes 2, 3, and 4.

actually i could go to sewers blindfolded cause i remember the old dc map and it's not hard for me to get to all 4 rare holes, problem is the quest must have a coding problem or smth, cause i killed all 25 rats or how much the quest asked and in the end it showed me i only killed 21 or so. smth must be bugged

killed 21/26 rats in the sewers, killed the rats in rare hole 3 but cant find the last 5, any one know where the others are? i have obviosuly missed a group of five in a room somewhere.

The sewers confuse the crap outta me. Can anyone fully explain the rare holes to me? I don't remember how they work and I've just been randoming going through the sewers looking for the deadly rats. Like everyone has said already...its probably broken, but just thought I'd ask.

Well, if you only lack 5 rats, this is where you have to go:

From the first square in the sewers go up 3, left 2, up 1, left 3, down 1, left 2, up 2, left 2, then down 3.when you in this room there should be a waterway _link_. click it then: up 1, right 2, down 1, left 1.your in rare hole 3. to get out of this area go to the lower right box; there should be another waterway _link_.

If you dont know anything, well, use your memory and just walk around, you'll see that there is order, just don't follow the map, it shows all the layers of the sewers in one level. make your own map if it helps.

i have been to rare hole three (which is where you get when you follow those directions) and killed those rats, and i still have only killed 21/26. i am reasonably sure i've found every room in the sewers; i made my own map (on paper, otherwise i would upload it somewhere and give a link) and there aren't any rooms missing from it, so i'm just about positive i've been everywhere. i've only found 21 rats.

well damn...now i feel like i've missed something. maybe they fixed it since the last time i looked? i'll go check again...

*edit* ok i went and looked and there were five rats in the same room as trollic mystic that definately weren't there any of the past times i've been there, so i guess they fixed it. that's exciting. i can finally finish the damn quest.

Yeah this quest doesn't even give you a lot of experience...but it was just bothering me that I couldn't finish it so w00t.

Ditto...the 5 rats where Trolloc is were not there before. I managed to finish it too...although 2500xp...too little for the trouble. =)
