Would like to see some sort of gold for cop points exchange going on.

When points are buyable by the player i would like to see people being able to sell points for gold on a player based economy. Exchange hall would enable players to sell x amount of points for x amount of gold each.. of their choosing. Say i have 25 points i wanted to sell.. i could 'post' in the exchange hall or whatever you want to call it that i was selling these points, for x amount of gold each. If a player wanted to purchase these they could, and the transaction would more or less be automatic after the initial posting by the seller.

I don't like the idea of the game itself selling points for gold, would just make more sense to let the value of each point be determined by the player base. 1 point could be worth 50g today.. maybe 100g then.. who knows, letting players control how much they would take per point would be the best way to go about this.

This gives more 'value' to points, while at the same time spreading these points to a wider array of players. It also means you won't have to neccesarily buy points to get them, but it also gives more value of said points to the people that do.

Point/Gold exchanges or Gold/Point exchanges.. very lucrative.

I would of liked to see beta points for gold going on.. but the value of these can't be based on players as we cannot purchase them.. perhaps in the meantime we can get a vendor that just offers points at a set rate until the playerbased economy takes off in full release.

we just vhave to clear up the whole looting issues we are having before they could implement that into COP or there would be mass attacking and looting complaints on forums

Actually kinda two seperate issues. Points aren't droppable atm, pretty sure they never will be. As of now we can't even trade em, nor do they appear in your backpack... if you want to see your points you have to check them in the point store. However the gold is droppable... if i sold 25 points and had 25x50g appear in my backpack from a transaction i'd better run to a bank.. thats common sense lol. All i need to see is some sort of little notice that tells me a transaction/exchange has taken place and someone bought x amount of points from me for a sum of x amount of gold.

The exchange guy could just be in the bank in DC.

He could replace one for one a banker.

May have one for points, one for runes, one for gear, one for rare reagents. Have a listing like the Rune Diviner does, only it would have a: column for item; column for price; column to purchase. Then auto delivery into seller's bank.

Question is could the seller pull the item back or reprice it? Nah, they would have to buy it back to keep it simple.

Let's see if I had lots of real money I could buy points then sell them for game money and not have to worry about killing mobs for gear, runes, rare reagents, etc. Why I could even probably pay someone to power level my character for me and complete all of the quests. Then all I would have to do is go and kill other players. Yeah, now all I need is some real money to buy game points. Nah, I think I want to be paid to power-level someone's character, then buy game points, gear, etc from the exchange guy.

How to get it in the exchange guy and price it would be the interesting part. Probably a programmers light nightmare.

As you can imagine it wasn't quite the original idea... i kinda just happen to like how another game had it as i found it very useful. Not sure if any of you have played Puzzle Pirates but they have an excellent exchange system in place ran by a player based economy. Its kind of a corny game, but i found it had excellent poker tables lol and fancy clothes to wear while sitting at these tables.

Also...

Its no fun having points you can't transfer, or trade with. If you give us the ability to sell points for gold, and vice versa at a exchange vendor of some sorts you fix that.

Basically.. all your economy belong to us. Not sure if thats a bad thing or not.. think about it lol. Ofcourse we understand you may have to charge more for some points at some point.. atleast once you realize what the situation is and what if any actions need taken. I'm sure others have more experience on how things like this work more then myself. But i really like the general idea.

Also.. not to make this sound like its all about money. But if for some reason you guys did decide that the player based economy wasn't quite up to par you could always just pump out content, upgrades, etc... you know we'll buy it all.

A MEDIUM size guild hall costs 800gold lol to max it out is another 1500gold. We have yet to see large halls.. or bigger if they exist. Notice our halls are still empty.. lots of potential things could fill them ie: upgrades. Their is no limit to what you guys can offer us, and in the end we all play this game because we want everything their is to have, and that never ends nor do we really want it too. The idea of how much gold a hall would need alone makes this a very enticing idea.. and i haven't even mentioned upkeep or how it costs more with more upgraded miners per month lol. But thats overkill....

In the end you still control what things are worth on the larger scale of things. I'm sure you guys plan for lots of additions/content to this game anyway, thats what these types of games continously do anyhow.

How much were they asking per point?
I'm just being nosy, since if it is worth while from an in game perspective I may buy points to trade for in game money/items.

I never seem to be able to find those really rare runes or that really rare uber/1337 gear.

OMG you have too much time on your hands lmao. the only issue I see is that this gold exchange thing would have to be located in a safe area, I don't know about you but the mass looters in the game, IF they knew where people go to trade pts for gold they will wait and camp it out as if it was a boss spwn. I would like to see pts used as a currensy in COP AS WELL AS gold so that COP doesn't turn into a pts based game as outwar its self did.

Obviously the gold exchange vendor would be inside banks... duh lol Anyone dumb enough to walk out of a bank with more then enough gold to replenish regents/portals/potions is a idiot anyway... as usual.

You are retarded if you ever think that Rampid would freely chose to enable you to exchange gold which can be obtained at no cost other than time for points that cost money. You need to stop comparing this game to all of the other games who let you compensate for lack of funds for time invested.. this game is purely about the dollar.

PS. I'm glad your banned on the forums because you were a douche.
