What happened to the old Outwar i used to know. Just came back from a long break to see that now the leet players are the people who spend thousands of dollars on Outwar. I miss the days when you had to do something to be leet...

well, Rampid Gaming is a company that needs to make money just like all the other companies out there. It's a free game, and you can earn gods in many different ways. Some people are leet with earned items, and some people are leet with purchased points. so yeah......

Some call it cheating, other's call it testing. :D Hahaha
Anyways, I see it like this; people spend on Outwar. Some decide to do it with money, some decide to do it with time, others with both. Either way, you've all invested in Outwar and gotten items, experience, crew rank, and even friends in return (unless you're a big meanie.. in that case, don't know what to tell you.. haha). The ones who spend money help pay the server, office, employee, and other costs that Rampid incurs in order to bring the rest an 100% free game. If anything, they should be the ones you are thanking.

thats one way to look at it. or you can look at it from my point of view, a bunch of rich n00bs got their daddys credit card and now think they are something worth talking about when in reality they are still the same people...
whatever though im not stressin it... showing them that money can't make a good player gives me something to do with my time lol

Actually its kind of the opposite. Majority of the players who buy all their items never reach the same status as a player who works for all of their items I have noticed.

Obviously you're working harder. They're buying points. Points are supposed to make you able to do more things easier. We have an obligation to our customers to make point purchasing worth it. I truly feel that we are at a good spot right now in regards to how much points (and therefore the money you spend) is worth in the game.

not to hard, if you have somthing that someone wants, you dont have to spend money, just sell it and find somthing else someone would want, gaining points from those who do spend theirs or their parents hard earned money.

people are already pissed off with the prices, like seriously a seal of the dragonflight is only selling for 100(ungemmed) and 200-250(fully gemmed) and ring of the devourer are selling for 200, the prices across every server is way off. if the admin set the prices some how they make more money of the players.

The reason they are so cheap is because their is so many in circulation and SR items are better and nearly the same price.

Fresh my butt, top player on rancid is already at lvl 62, i dunno about anyone else but that just seems alittle off, the servers only about 4-5 months old and there's already someone at 37 mil, only way thats possible is if they've had ALOT of help. all the servers are the same.

As for Sigil, yeah there are multi crews but there are lots of people making those multi crews work. If you check the community page over the span of a week, you'll see over a dozen different crews taking gods. The majority of those have real people in and running them.

It was the exp chart change that 'helped'... I mean some people did get a hefty 5-10 mil stacked onto their account just so they could stay at their level (stupid in my opinion. everyone shouldve just dropped to the lvl matching the new chart with their exp)

LOL! rancid was easy to keep up with tbh.. then i quit it coz it got boring.. sigil was / is the only server that is interesting b/c before there used to be plenty of hitlist wars and now theres plenty competition for gods and enough active people to try battle with for exp

If admins made every item non tradeable once equipped, people will be buying gods and spending more money. They could no longer trade gods around to all these little multis and/or sell old gods they no longer need. It will effect the economy on all servers and OW will be making more money. Crews/players can ***** and moan about people spending money but NONE Of you whine when someone buys a god off you with points that help YOU or your crew. I am pretty sure at that time you dont care how they got the points, as long as YOU got a buyer.
I say make ALL items player bound once equipped ;) <333

when i first got on ow.there were only two severs, torax was one of them and i do believe sigal was the other.there have been a lot of changes since then, the one change they made was taking away the point system they had.when you killed a mob you got points, the stronger the mob the more points you got.i think they need to bring that back.but with a slight twist, you can only purchace items that are not above a certain point.like weapons no higher then 100 atk,hp,no higher then 150.per item.potions and the other stuff like that would be includedand the others like ele, noc, and gods would have to be earned through raids and quests.that way i believe that would level the playing field for everyone.

All games have to develop somehow.. their just leaning majorly toward developing the spenders of the game. Money is god here, and while nearly every OW player wouldnt mind wars coming back (some would LOVE it), it wont happen unless something has to be *bought* to have a good war, or have one at all. Sad but true

If there is 2 things I would bring back to this game more then anything it would be the old map and supplies - that actually gave people a reason to hit others -strength just isn't the same. Not even close.

How many people are still around from the link/crew war/trophy era? I remember all outwar used to have was bronze-gold trophies and basically you could either just spend your time raping another crew or trying to 'max out' and have every weapon possible. Then you would just sit on top of the standings for a day or two til someone else did the same and attacked you.

yeaa..all it was was the rounds that reset each month which was basically individual leveling accomplishments and the rp game that was more about crews and stuff.
although i dont even know if they ever actually gave out prizes cause when you think about it, the same people always won...
