I like the murderer/outlaw/innocent thing and everything but i think it would be nice to be able to purchase bounties on people for gold as well. Having the ability to purchase 10 pvp kills on someone for 100g would be pretty lucrative, and since gold is obtained freely theirs no need to tax it either, just pay it all out to the bounty hunters equally per pvp kill. Would be nice to have more features to spend gold on like this. And it would give people more things to do besides camping spawns, and would give little people ways to exact revenge.. atleast in their own minds. Maybe you could make it so innocents can't be killed if their over level 20 (whether their in a guild or not) unless they have a bounty on them.. atleast that way they know when they can leave the gy without a horde/guild mowing them down. A player can only be bountied once per day.. or something. Solves alot of your pvp issues, since what people are most concerned about isn't one kill, or two, or even 10.. its the constant hours on end punishment people are able to freely deliver to them if they chose to do so.
Might be a good idea to make the cost like a sliding scale based on level.. lol since the people over lvl40 have way to much gold to waste.. just stockpiling. It wont stop them but atleast would be a nuisance to ask people over and over again to help them trade gold to other chars on their account. Might also want to make sure their are indeed other cool things to spend gold on before you implemented something like this, so they didn't spend it all in one place if you know what i mean...

I love this idea. Nothing to add/comment though. I think you covered it all. :)

I like your ideas and we'll definitely consider enhancing the PvP aspects of the game through different avenues, like say a bounty system. As far as having too much gold, we'll continue to come up with more useful and beneficial ways for people to spend their money in CoP. We feel the guild hall system will help with this significantly, but that is just 1 of many things to come. We don't want to add money sinks into the game simply to have a money sink, we want players to have good reasons to spend their money and not force them to spend it just so they get rid of it.
Taxing certain things has been a way in which money is removed from games. If players exchange money back and forth at a 1:1 ratio, the money never leaves the game and can cause inflation, which can make it extremely difficult for lower levels or new players to the game to develop and thrive in. Its unknown at this time if we'll have any sort of taxes on monetary exchange in the game, but there will be guild upkeep costs.

i agree with fabar. instead of wasting money we can tax items like renting a guild hall.if a guild doesnt pay there rent the bank takes over it and someone else buys it for cheaper.

I don't mind taxing, only suggested not taxing bounties so they could be kept fairly expensive to prevent abuse while at the same time giving players of all sizes a reasonably good chance to earn more gold for kills on the bounty then they could at any other place without an actual trade taking place.

We learned that from Outwar... Thanks -_-

So newbie, what your suggesting is just an open bounty system... Theres no bounty "page" that you have to apply/sign up to take a bounty on, just possibly a wrap up sort of list where people can check the current bounties, and then when they kill the people, gold is automatically transfered...?
Or would there be a special DC building for bounties and thus a "bounty hunter walmart" where people can do contracts and whatnot... because that seems rather pointless, and causes a 1v1 with bounty hunter and bounty, rather then multiple competing for the gold and the kill...
I think just being able to post a world-wide bounty (can happen in any world/realm) is the best idea... Just a list of the current bounty, "x" number of kills wanted, "y" gold posted total, "x/y" gold per kill...
10g per kill for 10 deaths on a person, costs the bounty'er 100g (or 103 if theres a tax... rampid likes 3%)
such good ideas ^_^
