Vista HELP !!!!!

Ok so i go 2 plug in my usb on my vista laptop. im thinkin its like xp where it just works soo i go 2 plug it in and i get all this crap about installin a diver so i just hit next and than it asks me if i got a cd i say no and it says look for it online so i do that but i got ntin does vista even work ?????? any 1 no wut 2 do

I would say go to the website of the company of whatever hardware it is you are trying to install and download the drivers from there.
