How Fair is this???

Now that people complain about everything here, I though why not complain about this lol.


Changing character name was removed from game, pretty long time ago, and some people are stuck with the names that they do not like or would not prefer to have now.

I've asked several time if its possible to get my name changed, that I'm freely offering admins to take off the amount of points that change name used to cost, but always get no. People have also been posting on a forum about ideas and bringing back name change, but we get no for an answer.

So today, my crew mates and me been talking, oo that it would be nice to change our names and etc, and we see an old players who came back playing couple of week ago or days, post on shout box "thanks ow for changing my name to what it used to be when I started" or something like that (got a screen picture if any one will need). So we post on shout box when did ow add this option to change names, but they actually did not, and like usual some mod removes the post that did not break a TOS (the last one maybe broke it, but other didn't)

So just want to see what the entire gaming population thinks of this, because it really looks like an admin favoritisms toward certain people. Just because he played ow for a long period of time, it does not make him special (Hey I'm playing for 4 years, and there are people who play for a long period of time as well, and when we ask to get our character names changed we get a big NO).

I have also asked a question on that Live Support and the game mod or who ever it was told my friend and me that, only way the name should be changed if its breaking a TOS (like if its not appropriate) but the player who got his name changed has normal character name which broke no rules on TOS.

So just post what you think, because I believe if all of us get no chance of changing our character names, other should not have privileges of changing just because they might be good friends with admins or for any other situations

I couldnt agree more... Changing your OW name hasnt been around for ages, how come certain people can get theirs changed?

I sent a support ticket in shortly after the guy on sigil "DonCarlos" who is now known as Don_Carlos_Gambino got his name changed, asking if i could have mine changed and the very short and sweet reply i got was "no, sorry"

Why can he get his name changed and i cant?? Is this because i dont buy points on this ridiculous excuse for a game? Or what is it that im not doing right...?

Please forward me in the right direction because right now im completely lost as to how to get my outwar name changed :(

i like the guy and glad for that he got his name changed to what he wanted. At the same time, I don't understand why they don't just bring name change back. everything done to a character in this game is based off link, not name, so no change in game play. also doesn't make sense that we have crew name change but cant change our account names. and really doesn't make sense why some people can get what they want done and others cannot.

Ahh, so much for customer equality. I would like to know how to get buddy buddy with a mod/admin. Everytime I try to to talk to one I either get on someone's hitlist or just ignored. It's ****ing annoying. :)

not sure what im saying but i think name change was taken away for ppl changing namer into similar ow points and doing trades for nothing.Since that cant be done with the treasury update i dont see whats wrong about bringing it back so im in favour of maka in this one.But in the end admins are the ones that decide and they seem to have their mind figured out about it so no luck for you i guess

You guys can code around the "scammers" part. Name page history, make it so an RGA can only change names 25 times, etc....

Changing names could get out of hand sometimes... like YahooSnake with all his messages like SickoftheFvckenRollbacks and other messages he tried to get through from his name. u know what's funny ? u made a favor (changing zhulian body to zhulian belt) to Skydragon666 cause u said he helped u guys , turned in glitches , etc. in the end it was proven that he wasn't quite as nice as u thought. maybe u shouldn't do favors to any of the ow players ;)

It took my crew leader like 3 years for his name to get notice/changed. He was told it was offensive so he talked to Pure and Pure gave him his choice of what he would like it to be. So, that was nice.

kind of a BS answer there justin cause awhile back when i was hacked on torax from BritishBulldog who was part of that crap with Cashville from zimbob who stole the outwar RG database and had EVERYONE on outwars info and was telling me all my info over aim even tho i never give out any information to anyone he told me everything my name on the account email and my sec then hacked me stole everything

then i tried to get a name change and everything and i was told no i couldnt kinda bs

How would you feel if a person you thought you could trust was invited to your crew, cleared the vault then left and changed their name?
And then did it AGAIN at a later date.

Or a high level crew with tons of pnts all changed their name, raped your crew and then changed their names back and rejoined their old crew?

i know if this ever happens to me once i wouldn't give vault privlage to any1 i don't trust 100%
and i think that goes for every1

im positive it was since playing outwar sine round 6 i never used programs or downloaded misc programs where i could get hacked then one day bulldog gets on aim havent seen him in a long time started talking to him he starts telling me all my personally account info i mean everything to the name on it email sec code and all that then the next morning all my stuff is gone

lol! That's not very nice KillJoy.

What actually happened was, I acquired the database printout for Rampid and informed you that people had your login details, and that you needed to change them as soon as possible.

I then passed the list onto the Admins who asked everyone to change their security answers.

I'm actually a good, christian boy. :)
