html codes in ranks

i have seen and know how to do these but are they allowed to be done ??
possibly to improve this outwar could add a place on your profile for picture html gimme your thoughts on this
ok since i have it confirmed the htmls are allowed here are a few HTMLs:
<font color=#339900>•Leader•</font> change #339900 to a color code a few can be found here :http://html-color-codes.info/
<MARQUEE ...> is the one that makes the text slide across the screen
<font size 4> changes the size of your text
<BLINK> makes your text blink

<a href=profile.php?id=2315182&ally=1>coleader ok here is an ally link simply remove the data for this ally and put urs in then input it into the rank with coleader being the rank name and it will turn into a link
there is a problem with size so just trim it down if it doesnt fit

I'm not a programmer or web developer so excuse me if I say something wrong but I don't see anything wrong with making the crew profile colorful and dandy ^_^

their is also a html where u can put in images but i am not sure if this works on the rank names have tryed with few images and been unsuccessful if you figure it out please let me know

A cool icon or logo would be a cool idea for ranks, but i'm sure they may cause lag.

yes but if outwar restricts the images in size wouldn't have the same problem
or outwar can have images premade for us like a leader.gif and all we have to do is enter the html that outwar gives us

I think the reason that html wasn't allowed in profiles to begin with was that people weren't allowed to have links in their profiles. Whether it was for server lag, to keep people from putting their secret links there, or for some other reason I don't know. I don't really see there being much of a difference between crew profiles or personal profiles.
If I am wrong about any of this, or someone would care to elaborate, I would definitely love the info.

I believe the question that begs is that is there a difference between HTML codes in profiles vs. rank names.

With html you can set it up so your link pops up everytime some one views you profile which could easily have a virus, along with that people would be able to add videos and large images. allowing html in profiles or anywhere else may could major problems.

that is where outwar security comes in and if they can get this right will prove that outwar security works

Yes but there very restricted. only breaks/fonts/center ..etc very basic stuff

Ya that would work, but that might be alot of work for them, considering how many crews are out there.

their could possibly be made a automated system whilst every now and then someone checks its to see if it is doing its job ;)
