The thread closing is out of control on this forum.

I have seen several threads in bugs and glitches closed with a message to open a ticket.
This is not the goal of a forum nor is it good support.
A forums goal is to serve as 1. a living body of searchable knowledge, and 2. a collaborative communication system.

If a user posts issue, closing the thread is not a functional way to handle the issue. If many others have the same problem, then they need to be given a chance to add their individual feedback so that it can be quickly determined if it is a one off issue or a systemic issue.

Also I have seen many threads that seem to be progressing just fine when one or two users decide that their part is over and call for closure.
Unless there is a fight, profanity, or such happening, leave the threads open. give users a chance to talk about what they need o and maybe come back after a few days and add reflective comments or knowledge gained that would enhance the original thread rather than having to create fragmented threads each with only part of the picture.

That's because when you make a ticket, they don't have to worry about it anymore, as it's obvious submitting tickets does absolutely nothing on this game. Tickets are a false hope. :)

I agree, unless the thread goes off topic or gets outta control, let users add more feedback to determine how serious the problem is.

i disagree, i submitted a ticket to recover 2 accs lost during the last roll back and the mods who dealt with it were great and it worked well. it took a little time for first reply ( about 3 days ) but was then sorted in 1 more day.

There is no problem, but there is a distinct lack of undderstanding - like i said on that other thread, there a almost ZERO unanswered tickets accross all servers compared to the amount that we are awaiting replies on

meh, your ticket will remain open until you provide with sufficient dfetails as requested on Jan 3rd

There is nothing else we can do

You clearly haven't read my ticket, which is obvious at this point. I have supplied every detail that was asked for. Check it yourself, hell it'd be good someone finally did check it.

1534 - about points - awaiting reply from you, last mod action and reply was on 3 Jan - no reply from the player

2311 - about accounts - this is under review and will be sent to admin to resolve!

1534 isn't even on my account, it isn't even shown lol... you can delete that, cause I don't know what that's about... the one about accounts is the one I'm *****ing about, and you know what that is about because one of the reasons they all got suspended was because I was being an ******* to you and about 3 other mods.

Lets hope - and thanks for deleting that - I had no idea what that was about.

How do you tell if your ticket has been sent to an administrator for review because I think some people get impatient and call that being ignored because they don't know it's been forwarded.

That doesn't mean the issues in the tickets have been resolved completely. ^_^

442 Active Tickets:
--101 admined
--67 waiting for monitor actions
--274 waiting for replies from users
1623 completed tickets.

Those are the numbers from the new ticket system which has been running for roughly a month. Yea, doesn't do anything at all.
