This game would be a ton better if they're weren't constantly "server connection time outs" and if you could actually move more than 2 feet without it lagging, especially for a free game.

I understand it's only been like a week or two since it came out, but I can play WoW better on my laptop than CoP....

It's a beta not a final release.

yea it's a beta and we are trying to find any and all problems so that it's not like this at all times

I understand, but I see these level 30s running around I just wondered: "How the hell can they even level that fast?" I mean come on, I know there's nerds out there with like $6,000 PCs with high-end gaming compatibility. I just wish the server wouldn't constantly "time out" so I could at least play and get used to it....

it's not just thier computer, i have a lvl 23 char that i'm not able to get on at the moment but to be honest if you are questing and or just killing stuff for exp it's not that hard to hit lvl 30

For some reason, I never seem to get much lag. I always seem to hit around the 30 FPS mark, so it is all good. Well, I think that fixing the crashes/disconnections could help the game a lot. Let us just hope that all goes smoothly.

yea that's like the biggest thing that i'm seeing, because i'm just using a sony vaio laptop and i'm able to play in the high 20 FPS mark but hate the disco's and the crashings

JBonez28

I'll sometimes get those good few moments of no lag. But then it'll hit me again. I also noticed when I go into taverns and stuff, my FPS is like 20-30.

matotainte

most times when i do get the lag is when i'm going to an area i haven't been to before like it's trying to pull the info for the area or something

mjhoagland

yeah... that's going to happen pretty much regardless of the MMO you play.... new area = new data unless all the object content is stored on your HD which is rare.

i know which is why you don't hear me complaining about it, just stating where i get my most lag

I've got a pretty decent computer but there are still times I get the same problems as everyone else has. Like its already been said, its in beta, its glitchy, theres bugs, its not going to be perfect so if you don't like it, then don't play. Don't sit here and whine about problems that everyone else is having as well. If you like the game, then just play and try to have fun until the bugs are hammered out.

I'm lvl 31 atm and I havent been playing that much in my opinion..(well for the 2 first days I played like 10 hours :D but havent been able to play much after that). Being able to do quests in the closed beta helped a lot, I knew what I was doing. I'm getting good fps with maxium settings, also maxium windowed resolution. About 40-50 fps on average, sometimes gets to 70-80 but also random lag rarely. I got athlon 64 3400plus, Radeon x1950 pro 512 mb, 1,5gb memory.

With the recent patch, new things we introduced have created some instability and we're working hard to correct these issues. We understand it can be frustrating, I've been a gamer for awhile and I know the frustrations with server instability, which is why we're going to work hard on solving all of those issues during this beta so that the final release is very smooth.

Optimizing the game is another one of our primary goals, to make the game have the highest level of performance for as many users as possible. This is something that is going to be ongoing and taken seriously by our development team.

Again, its thanks to the players who are participating in this beta for helping us find these issues and correct them. With your help, we plan to make this a very stable, fun playing environment that people can enjoy for along time.

its not that we play all the time 4 or 5 of us in a guild started all playing at the same time and where able to do all the quest much much faster and of course as we progressed we started getting exp like crazy with all these quest flying in its not very hard to reach higher levels faster when you work with others and yeah i play this game on a $1,000 dollar laptop but i didn't buy it for this game

the only reason I am level 37 is because it was my spring break when the game came out. Yes leveling with a friend or two helps A LOT. All u need though is just a few hours a day of grinding and u can be level 20 in 3 days without much trouble i would think. I have very few problems with connecting and I get a constant 2k latency in WoW so i dont know why all of you have problems connecting.
