Patch problem

Dose anyone els get a problem where you can't download the patch becasue launcher just stops? i was able to play the game just fine dont see where framework comes into play here but if you have any idea please tell me

I can't download the patch. My launcher stops working as well.

i'm downloading it now, got to 10 % , checking if it stops or not. will we be able to get to diamon city after that without getting stuck ?

I'm going to throw this up in the downloads section of the website as well. We'll probably do this for every patch until we can hammer out all of the issues that are coming up with the patcher.

skippidy do you have Vista as well? I have vista and so dose isotex if you do im starting to think vista is the problem

neither do i but i just tryed my auto patcher and the auto patcher works now but the game still can't find the patch

We just made an update to the patch.exe, so if you re-download that and overwrite your old copy, it should work for Vista users.

Another thing that you can try if that doesn't work is to right click on the CoP icon and select "Run As Administrator," this may also fix the problem. Heres an example of what it should look like when you right click on the CoP icon http://www.crownsofpower.com/images/vistafix.jpg.

Now, i downloaded .NET 3.5 restarted my computer, re-installed CoP and the message came up again saying that:

Now i got a wee bit annoyed by this, so checked the forums and saw that someone had gone a step futher than me and uninstalled/re-DL'd the installer/manually installed the patch.. so i did the same and... nothing, same error message, getting a bit tired of it now and i have to get back to work.

(I'm not a wiz with computers, but if its a problem with the configuration, can't it be fixed easily? if not, can i open my configuration for you to show you what the problem is? anyway back to work...)

I also opened the game in administrator mode, it didn't make a difference (didn't think it would as i'm already the adminsitrator account on this computer)

I'm sorry to bump this post, but I'd like to know what kind of timescale you have on fixing this problem, is it a day, a week, a month? to be honest (sorry to sound arsey, but i spent 3 hours before work trying and failing to sort the problem out) I'm pretty tired after waiting this long for the public beta to come out and to get the chance to play this game, when i can simply play any other game which has been tested out a million times more than this, before even the public beta was released (yes, i do understand you're a small company in comparison with others out there, but surely this problem came up during the initial beta test? or is it a problem with the new patch?).

Just looking to find out when I can test this game (which looks pretty awesome, from what i can gather from others..) out.

Ok, well thats a probelm with me being a flid then.. I uninstalled my previous 3.0 framework and 2.0 and installed 3.5, for some reason it isn't working though, seems to still be using 2.0.

My bad, I'll have a smarter friend than me to have a look and see whats up.
