Forum Sig Pictures Yes or No?

Well i doubt i am not the only one who is wondering why we can't upload forum sigs : /. I would like to be able to show off a little bit of my gfx skills (although their crap for sigs lol) but i would just like to have something that looks nice and makes all my posts look hawt.


So theres a poll, do you think that we should be able to upload forum sigs? if so should it be restricted to JPG images rather than GIF's because GIF's take up tons of KB and i figure thats the only reason that theres no forum pictures and also some include multiple frames.

So vote for what you think guys :).

If your going to vote, only pick either JPG or GIF/JPG and a KB size, if you don't want the sigs simply pick the last part.

i should have added a size, no sizes bigger than like 500width and 150hight (mabey this will be altered alittle)

basically me being a pic maker i find PNG's pointless i don't know if theres anything special about them that i missed but generally for the lowest KB and best quality you go with JPG's if you want flash pics you use GIF's (basic formats alteast).

So i would say no but tahts just me.

LOL... you call yourself a pic maker yet dont know that if you make an image on a no background and save it as a png, when uploaded it will change the color of the background to whatever color is behind the image.. for example.. http://www.dks-gfx.com/sparda.png if placed on a black background would display that background behind his head and gun.

hmm i guess were a lil diffrent here lol, i don't use PNG just PSDs if i want to edit a pic further, and as for the backgrounds i simply make handmade ones by taking a shape tool and adjusting it to my likings in white then have a black layer under it... and if you want to talk about my pic making skills check the site in my sigs : /. don't pngs take up alot more KB and misery said its only going to be 50kb and if i am correct i belive they do so it would be pointless to upload a PNG in my opinion... ohh and i've also been making pics for a few months so i may not know much but i am good at making pics...

Na its still the same, the image is with the limits too so i dunno whats wrong.

I uploaded a test siggy last night and it worked. I haven't tried today as I'm still waiting for it to be made :-P

and a 15 day wait, since me a wizzy already have avatar's we're thinking we have sig images too, but i'm not sure how to do it since {img] is disabled on these forums.

hmm does html code possibly work :X idk if [ i m g]'s blocked hopefully pure will see it and fix that or someone who has the power to :)

I think its blocked on purpose and no html doesn't work, if it did i'd have a nice sexy font :)

haha :-P i didn't bother trying html and it stinks that ya needed an end code to see the bb code or w/e it is lol i wrote a sig but it didn't work cause no end codes : /

Forum signature pics definitely work, I believe they are enabled at the same time your get your avatar priveleges.

That's not entirely true, you can use {img} just not in your sig until some form of requirements are met


It may be a case of a half grandfather law... ie if you hit the requirements AND uploaded a siggy before the new requirements were in place then you can continue to do so (not sure when wizzy first uploaded a siggy), or it may just be the fact that he has more posts than you.


My guess is that it is one or the other.

That's quite possible! LOL. I wouldn't be surprised. Can any Forum Moderator that's reading this post respond if they know when signature pictures become available.
