Hello.
Could anyone lend any advice about the different skill trees? Is it necessary to have multi characters used just for skills? I just started playing outwar again and any tips would be appreciated. I want to make sure I'm spending my skill points wisely this time around. Thank you.

make multi's and devote them to a single skill. its a pain in the ass, but you can beef up a single player to unmeasurable strengths. Have one character as your "player" so to speak, and the rest for beefing him/her up.
:D hope it helps.

Heres what I would do - make yourself, and make 8 other lings - 2 for stealth, 2 for emp, 2 for lust, 2 for enfeeble - this will skill you around the clock w/o having to worry about refresh times - level all to 10 in the newbie area - annoying but well worth it in the end. Once you level them all to 10 in newbie area, they can get TB or transfer items from your main. I would now quest with your main until you can get osteo or something - as you DC you will pick up persuasion items - give those to your lings if you don't want them for yourself - they will level up faster. In your free time level them up if your main is out of rage. Eventually you can get champ or get them sets like gov or ele - it shouldn't really take too long - I use persuasion items on most of my lings, I get better EPT that way then using sets ;)

I think Im to a good start. I happen to have 1 main and 8 multi's now. I bought some points to get a head start. My main has full champ set and all my multis have full osteo sets. I got all characters up to minimum of lvl 10.
I guess I'll take a look at all the skills and pick my favorite 9 and focus on them. Is it true that if you pick a skill from one of the three skill trees that you can pick skills from the other two? Thanks again.

The only tree that everyone can always pick from is Class (well, and the Misc). The other 3 are mutually exclusive, so if you choose the school of Affliction you won't be able to learn Ferocity skills, or Preservation.
As suggested before, work your way up in the main 4 skills.
If you don't want to spend money throughout the game, or save points: just don't train skills in your main so when you reach level 40 you can train Blessing from Above and Fortify, in the Preservation tree. These 2 skills, when combined, are the most powerful skill combo there is at the moment.
If you think that by the time you reach lvl 40 you will have 150 points to reset your skills: then train your main with something else, maybe Circle of Protection (that would be my suggestion). Other ideas might be Dark Strength (you must be level 26 to learn it), or Ambush and Vitamin X (but they unlock and level 30 and 36). Downside of Dark Strength: once you reach Skill level 10, there's nothing else worthwhile in that tree.
I hope this helps.

Keep your skill points until you can get Fort/CoP/BFA -- don't waste points on a neuralyzer -- if you use your main skills - emp stealth enf lust - you will be more then fine to handle level 40-50 mobs in the stizzy area until you can get preservation skills.

as they said before, make multis for each respective skill(stealth, empower, enfeeble, and bloodlust). for your main, i would recommend putting skill points into COP to help you defeat enemy's in DC that you normally wouldn't be able to.from there, after you get to 40, IF you have the points, buy a reset, or find things you can sell (pots, sets, ect.) and get the points for a reset.

I don't think you need it honestly -- normal skills and full strength should be find to complete most quests which is all you need to be doing honestly at this point - questing is the best way to level up quickly. Don't forget to utilize pants for your skills either -- it's a free +2 skill points.

Thank you all for your input. I know have a better game plan laid out for me. Im going to assume that you use enfeeble and bloodlust together as a combo. I see both at level 10 would net you +200atk and +500hp. Wouldn't the popstar skill boost be almost as good lvl 10 being +130atk +500hp? This way you don't have to level 2 skills to 10 just one, saving 10Sp for another skill.

100% true, but I believe Boost is only self-castable (I mean that you can only cast in on yourself), while Bloodlust and Enfeeble can be casted on others.

Boost and protection are only castable on yourself - also I wouldnt train in them unless you have orbs and pants. You mentioned you bought points, you should have some left over - +2 orbs for boost are like 15 pts a piece, you could manage to get some of those and a pair of pants - hell I could even give you a pair if you play sigil server I'm sure. Then you only have to burn 2 skill points rather then 8. But yes, use enf / lust as a combo.

A good idea: state what server you play on, and I'm sure many of us nice folks around helping out in the "Newbie section" will be more than happy to throw a pant or two your way to help you get started.

Yep like said, with your skill points I'd enter into the Preservation tree. However, don't waste all your skill points, cuz once you hit lvl 40 you can get Blessing From Above, which arguably is the best skill in the game. And yep, make a few accounts and get empower/stealth/bloodlust on them so you can cast them on yourself to make you stronger as you go

most people will train forocity rank first till they reach level 40
and can then retrain skills for preservation.
vitaminx is good skill for lv36 class
also make 4 new accs on ya rga 1 monster to train bloodlust 1 ganster to train enfeble
and 2 other accs any choice to train empower n stealth
