i am making a thread to say what my favorite progs are when first setting up a pc.
I always use Avast antivirus software. it is freeware and does a good job
spybot search and destroy covers what that misses usually
of course I have to have Firefox, the best browser in my opinion. Opera has tested slightly higher in speed tests, but that is before any tweaking is done.
Trillian is awesome, I can talk to whoever on whatever with very little cpu usage.
I can't think of anything else offhand, but maybe some other people could contribute their fav. progs. here.
