What I think about outwar pic makers....

There are soooo many kids on outwar who think they can DL some brushes and slap a render on there and claim to be great.....


So I want all of you, pic makers on OW, to sign up at planetrenders.net on their forums. They will break down your pics and let you either know how bad or good you are, and will provide tutorials + free tools to help you out.


I'm Just tryin got clean up OW w/ less nubs selling pics :p

I do not like the way you say it but your right. It has been like this for years and I don't think it'll ever change. Maybe there will be a few good designers on outwar but then they ask way to much points for a picture :p

depends on the kind of brush, i created a real nice brush set for smudging, which isnt like basic brushing.

i think u should specify the type of brushes you mean, because there are some really nice brushes used for digital paintings and smudging. Hten you have the noobs using grunge and tech brushes and just slapping them around for no reason. Brushes is way to broad of a subjuect to hate on. You obviously know nothing of designing.

I make excellent pictures. You have no room to talk if you made the pic in your sig yourself.

last time i was on nsl they classified me as intermediate - moderate . That was about a year ago. I know im not a good designer, just look at deviantart.com. Those people have some serious skill. By outwar players, alot of people consider me good. but then again thats ow terms of good designing.

Nice stuff Prophet, what would you rank yourself as, honestly? I saw you were intermediate-moderate, personally I'd say high moderate/very low inter, it's good stuff but it just needs that extra part to boost it up, I like it though, make me one because im too lazy to make one :(

Fact is, a good portion of the Outwar community is so egotistical that anyone could take a stock picture, not even a render, slap on the name of the person they're making it for, charge points and the person it's for would be happy because it has their name on it.

The only people who care about quality are the ones who are able to make quality pictures, imo. The rest are just people who are happy enough seeing something "cool" has their name on it, regardless of whether the "pic maker" did anything to it or not.

I agree 100%. Many people don't actually know what a good pic is. (Except graphic artists, duh).

Yup, i dont sign my name at the bottom of my pics......if you're a good graphic artist, your pics can be determined by their style, not by a tacky pixel font that says "asdFX" or w/e

I still put a signature there just to show my work. Some people still ask "Who made that pic?", even when I have the signature there. But meh, I put it there so people can't copy it really, and so EVERYONE can see who made it, even the stupid ones.

Giuseppe I saw ur "art" work and I think you ruin ppl's profile selling(screwing) them with your pics... brushes using makes pretty nice pics if you know how to use brushes =) I know there are many BEGINNERS (stop calling em noobs! u think ur someone?!) I've been in planetrender.net for years and I'm still using brushes often without being a "nub" and so far NOONE complained bout a pic i made =)
but keep working hard u'll get good soon ;)

lol this is outwar.. no ones expected to be a designer. The 'client' the kid is going to try and sell pics too is certainly already going to tell them if it sucks or not. I like things how they are.. people know who's good and who isn't. I actually am a designer, its what i do.. and im not sure i've seen a profile pic including my own i wouldn't say could use some improvments.

LOL your kidding me.. no offensee guisepeepee but unless you've made dramatic improvements and learned a few things since you were on sigil your pics are just like ALOT of others.. usable at best, which don't get me wrong.. is good around here.

UndaLife, the work you see on my album is ow graphics, which aint the same thing as any other art work at all. actually I can do anything sum1 asks cause the years I ve been made me learn almost all photoshop functions=) but ow gfx is something more simple and with kb limits... well u uderstand:P I was only disappointed of giuseppe complainin bout "nubs" when we all can see he's one of these:P
