Zhul Shield

The Zhul shield is falling behind when the zhul items are suppose to be the best or in with the best items in the game.

It needs its block increased from 2%(wtf do you do with 2%?) to atleast 7-10%

fully gemmed you get 131 eph/rph. it needs to be up there with other items as 191eph/rph.



Sure the stats were fine before when it first came out but come on... It needs a boost big time.

dont even get me started on the other items.

It's fine the way it is, it has atk,hp and ele resist. asking for higher block is just greedy.

Zhul shield is designed to be like a sword in the shield slot. Like the bracer set, suicide blade and the few other blades of the same type. The only difference is that the Zhul Shield offers both attack and HP as well as giving a small % of block. For the type of item it is the Zhul shield is the best.

it is only the best if you can afford to buy 3% augs for it. That isnt fair. some people worked there a$$ off durring the first woz to earn an essence and when they get this item there shit out of luck cuz the item is shit unless you can afford the 3% block augs.

Bracer is from a stupid 5man raid piece of crap, its better then the zhul shield except for the hp...

Zhulian Shield offers you 10 less attack of the bracer but also gives you 487 more hp. They both have the same exp, rage, crit and max rage. Zhulian offers 10% resistance to every single elemental attack (which is upwards of 20% total in Stone Raven) as well as having a free extra augment slot.

Zhulian Shield is designed to be a weapon but has the added bonus of having almost 500 hp, which, is a tier of HP equivalent to the majority of top notch items.

There really is no reason to buff it - It was a great item back when it was first introduced and now even more of said essences are swimming around because of a second Zhul. It had its time in the sun and for the type of item it is. . .It's still enjoying the top.

The only reason why personally I wouldnt get a zhul shield, is because in order to get 45% block (unless you have a pumpkin god mask or ele preserver) you need 5x 3% block augs.....So instead, I can put 5x 75 HP augs in my grace and have almost 1k HP as well as 17% block, nice resistance, high max rage, and nice ept/rpt


So yeah......280 atk? so what, you lose all that block ept hp max rage etc

Why shouldn't Grace be better? (Even though I think it's silly that it drops off Natas and not Reckoning). . .Zhul shield and Grace are two different types of items. Zhul Shield just happens to be of the type of item very few people use anymore.

ppl dont use that type anymore because HP is more practical than attack.


Graces = fine how they are....not insanely good but decent all around, and not an easy drop either.

Which is a flaw in the item type not in the item itself. Items like Zhulian Shield/Suicide Blade/Bracer of Death, etc are awesome for wars and against players but not in raiding where HP/Block make all the difference.

The real flaw is in Rampid making raiding the only viable route to follow.

I do not have the zhul shield on a character that I play.

I have one on torax but I dont play that server. So how would upgrading the block benefit me?
