Call me crazy but isn't a push a tie? Where you get all your points back..yeah..it is. Just because you lost on other hands, doesn't mean somethings wrong with it, its just the chance you take when you play the game.

and remember not all casino's play BlackJack the same.. some have surrenders.. early and late surrender..
Some do play the dealer can keep playing to see if he can "Push"
ever been to Nevada? I go every year and I know there a quite a few different casino's with different "House" rules..
Outwar has its own set of "House" Rules they go buy

as a gambling man, who lives in las vegas none the less, most blackjack tables under the nevada gaming commision state that if a player is dealt a blackjack the game is over, mind you different casinos have different determinations of the phrase "blackjack" a face card and an ace could be a blackjack at say the MGM Grand, but over at the belagio it is not and you need an actual jack for the reward.
Also these rules do not apply to online gaming, so you are screwed, online gaming gets to set their own rules more or less. plus this isn't for actual moneyso that is the chance you take with GAMBLING

Actually a little interesting tidbit. Sorry to all you arguing but he's right.
If you make a total of 21 with the first two cards (a 10 or a face and an Ace), you win automatically. This is called 'Blackjack'. If you have Blackjack, you will win one and one-half times your bet unless the dealer also has Blackjack, in which case it is a Push or a Tie (or a Stand-off) and you get your bet back.

2 things wrong.
1) The win automatically. I didn't even notice that til it was pointed out.
2) The 1 1/2 times thing. That's been busted forever.

Why do people even play blackjack on here?
Spend the money you were going to on points, on a real gambling webiste, if you win, buy points with the profit.

Technically, I'm not allowed to gamble on those 'real gambling websites'. I'm 16.

you are using real money to buy points and use the points on blackjack
so technically you are using real money same as you trade casino chips for money in a casino

Sadly the rules do apply to ow's BJ because those are the rules they set. If they want to change them, then fine. But as long as they are on the site the game should match them.

it is an interesting argument and I would personally be interested in a higher ups take on things though I have to say.
The house will set the rules as it sees fit and there is little we can do about it as this isn't vegas.

every casino that ive been to(mind you i havent been to vegas) and played blackjack at, if you get blackjack, the hand continues untill dealer either busts or hits 17. if dealer gets 21 in 3 cards its a push.
and on that note...there are many different variations to this rule. if you dont like it...dont play.
