I had this idea on the older forums.
This will start off as a quest, basically it's going to be like the fabarist/zimbobist quest you have to choose a side.
for example fabarist will be the weapon and zimbobist will be the shield.
the weapon and shield will start off with very low stats almost pointless to use unless your trying to upgrade, but by the end they could be the most power weap/shield in the game depend on how you decide to use the points.
the weap/shld will be like your character, basically it will lvl up, every lvl you'll be give 7 points to put on any stat you wish every 10th lvl you'll recieve 15 point to add anywhere.
The weap all stats will be open at first lvls 1 to9 will have the basic ept/rpt/atk/max rage but at lvl 10 rampage(starts at 15%) is unlocked and points can be added to the weap, lvl 20 crit(starts at 5%)/lvl 30 element damage(starts at 75 each)/lvl 40 hp/lvl 50 block(can't be increased stays at its stats number of 15%)
The shield is the same but, starting stats, rpt/ept/max rage/hp, at lvl 10 block is added (starts at 5% can be increased, able to have the max block of 45%)/lvl 20 rampage(starts at 10%)/lvl 30 critical(starts at 10%)/lvl 40 attack(starts at 100)/lvl 50 element resist(starts at 150 for each resist).
Unlike our characters/accounts these can only gain exp there the wilderness(hehe people wanted it back so i gave good reason to bring it back :P)
The exp require per lvl up would have to be higher then out accounts simple because of the high stats there able to recieve.

all of the stats that u unlock at x level seem a little high to me. like the ele resist/damage and crit and block. but i'm not sure how high of a lvl the stuff goes to so i'm not sure. also there should be a way to reset the stats on the item via a quest or handing something in (set or pots something like that)

I'd say it stop at the same lvl as a players account 70

yea then starting at 20% crit on wep is just insane cause at 7pts per lvl 50% crit+ on it is easy w/o augs. same with ele damage/resist if u only train it for that u could get some insane ele stats especially with ur starting point. 45 base block shield ftw!!!

Everything being high had a point, now everyones capible of having these, well if there willing to work for it anyways. There that should be some what evened out

I personally don't like this idea, we'd have to come up with a way of managing 2 characters in effect,
and it would just get abused by the higher level members, and not the lower ones.
I really don't like this :s

Not really for this as well, it would hurt the economy alreayd more then it is present in its sufferage as well as the fact it could be to abuseable.

sorry been watching to many viral videos on the internet.
I guess the only way this would work is if the item itself, didn't have a huge stat difference between the stats, but it would take alot of work to make sure it isn't overpowered.

I'm guessing it would be exactly the same as the Zimbobist, and fabar quests.
You could only ever get 1, but I still don't think it would work too well, 1 item would clearly be better than the other.
if you can get 45% Block on the shield, why would you want the weapon at all?

The idea is good, but if u have to pay points to get it better alot of ppl wont get it. What if u make it a quest with level bounded. So the quest start at 10, when your 15 u do the quest to i dunno find something in DC or collect stuff, need to find for the cauldron or something. A little bit like the lvl armor that OW used to had... but then weapon or shield.

i love the idea but Needs 2 Be Lowered Majorly Eg the elemental and normal attack and the crit lol you would end up have 100% crit on 1 item :-j

Wow I love this idea, items that level up, and their power depending on how you spend the points it gives you. Adds more diversity to the game, it could even get rid of the oh-so-typical "im a beefy lvl 55+ with full Obliv/Zhulian set and a blade. Im the best it gets"
Specializing in atk or defense with these items could also help with the class stats. The monsters would go for weapon, Gangsters with shield, and popstars just a random pick since they have same bonuses.

And u can add to the idea is like the Space Ranger quest that u will need to be with 4 other accounts to defeat a mob that will give u the points or item what u needed for the next level item...

I thought more people would like this, the stats on the two items are just for show they can be tweaked. This would would also bring back the wilderness which many people have wanted back. >:\

what about the basic idea of mixing 3 item eg master blaster gb and scimmy and get a weapon with status of a slicer but better attack

I like the idea of item fusions, like for example master blaster + wave + warshattered = Giga blaster. all the recipes randomly drop from all dc mobs

Its a good idea. Like taking a page right out of everquests book. They have things like this. You have items that actually gain levels. What happens is you spent a portion of the XP you gained and instead the item soaked it. As a result it levelled up. This also gives people who are already 70 something to do with their experience. Its one of the best ideas that could be implemented in the game, because noobies and players could do them alike. You would have to start a quest to recieve the item - better for higher level, lower for lower level, etc. kind of like level armor used to be. It actually needs to be useful as well. Good stuff - I'm not sure if this was what you were talking about.

I thought that's what the Cauldron was going to be like, but I guess I assumed wrong lol. I remember being lead on about HUNDREDS of recipes READY to go at launch. "MIX YOUR ITEMS" and stuff like that... that would be amazing though!

I thought that's what the Cauldron was going to be like, but I guess I assumed wrong lol. I remember being lead on about HUNDREDS of recipes READY to go at launch. "MIX YOUR ITEMS" and stuff like that... that would be amazing though!

Mixing items in cauldron would surely add more usage of it. Make secret lists of recipes.. people can go on and on trying to mix this and that, and might stumble upon a good mix. It sounds fun as hell :D

Did it occur to you that no one has actually tried? For all we know the most insanely cool items are available to be made already...

well if it's anything like WoZ, theirs ingredients that go with your items in order for it to work - but... I'm not gonna be the one that tests my items in the cauldron until I have a recipe set in stone. My luck they'd come back with no gems/augs, or wouldn't come back at all :p

yes i have tested 100's of combo's and speak 2 admins and they love me and would have given me a wink
