Which random drops are the least annoying? The top percentage of gear that drops? Orbs? Augs?
We're looking to cut down on some of the crap. :)

Two Things:
1. DC Filter: Most of us do not need a single drop from DC in terms of the 9 equip-able items.
2. Backpack needs to add an augment backpack and a misc backpack (for crew stones and extras). The normal backpack should not have anything but the 9 equip-able items in it.
Get those and we are all happy, case closed, the end.

a few solutions I can see
change random drops to quest drops, similar to how WoZ mobs drop, and create hundreds or thousands of recipes like the cauldron claims to have.
make prestiging an item actually worth it, giving multiple decent stats, people may actually spend money trying to use one of the small items, instead of everyone having same gear. Especially if it was possible to prestige an item multiple times, to try to gain all stats. Biggets problem with prestige right now is it gives like 20-30 max of EPT or RPT, generally less than 500 MR, etc, however, If you could Prestige an item multiple times, and the stats were actually decent (compared to the item level that is being used), people may not complain so much, as it would open alot more items for people to go after.
get rid of all equipable drops and 1 stat augs after level 20
to answer your question though, least annoying drops are augs with multiple stats and orbs that are +2. Seriously why are 1 stat augs still in the game, how many people truly use them regularly? If you do cut down alot on the random drops, think about adding tome of experience to all mob's loot table, to make up for missed exp through scrapping

every random drop is annoying and worthless...also augs that drop in dc are way to outdated you need to fix that as well, I have never found a good aug in dc

You'll need to explain this tab.
All drops during an event that are event connected should be put in that backpack instead of others. Equippables, summoning shards, cauldron and quest items...
The equippables keep dropping even when your normal backpack is full, so it easily fills your backpack five-six times around.
This backpack would be of unlimited size, like the quest backpack. If you keep picking up more stuff, it keeps expanding.
It would be easier to tell how far you have progressed when you have everything in one place. This WoZ example is, simply, an example, so please don't connect it to WoZ only. During christmas and other holiday events, those items would also be placed here. Again, to not confuse the user about what is what.

Could not agree more... Sums it up perfectly...
the dc drops r completely worthless all of them...
and an aug backpack would be nice... but really just cut the crap drops noone needs them and it is very annoying to keep scrapping, especially when it is so annoying to scrap

maybe leave pants if anything. also like someone said, augs need upgrading. tired of getting +1% to rampage lol.
and to build on the idea with prestige and how we should prestige an item more than once... make it like gemming items where it might cost a little more each time you prestige an item. not too much more expensive, but maybe like 10 points. and maybe a a max of prestiging an item 5 times? but that is only if outwar keeps the crap items in the game.
orbs are fine.
maybe add a rage potion to DC drop but a lower droprate than brutes. and player bound so no one can farm them with multis and put them on their main.

Which random drops are the least annoying?
Of the drops that are LEAST annoying, I'd have to go in order:
1.) Orbs that contain only skills that no one uses.
2.) Player Bound quest pieces for quests that I am on, and already have more than enough to complete the quest. How many Bisquick Recipes do I really need?
3.) Player Bound quest pieces for quests that I am not on, or have completed. Like Ogre Blood Vials.
4.) Magic Beer Cans. I never use them when I have them. When i wish I had one, I don't have one. I find out later I had one in my vault. It should, at the very least, be moved to the potion tab.
5.) Pants with only +1 skills. Pants that only have skills no one uses.
6.) Any equipment drop that is not pants with at least +2 to some skill.
7.) Augments with weak stats. I want augments, but not weak ones.
Everything else that drops is fine with me.

DC equipment, as of now there completely useless, they either need to upgrade (more hp/atk) or all dc equipment needs to have ept/rpt/mr/crit on all of them
basically remove splendor item from the wrap gifts and make them the basic drops in dc.

everything d.c drops is annoying, i get so bored going thru my bp deleting stuff, u really need to get rid of the scurvy belt, spider boots and the other crap like that, cause even if your bp is full that crap still goes in it
only thing u should keep are, quest items, brutes and orbs, even the augs u get in d.c suck now as no1 really buys augs any more
abandit99

Least annoying:
1. +2 orbs
2. augs that are 3 or more stats in them.
3. pants with 3 +2 skills in them
------
most annoying
1. dc junk.
2. one stat augments from higher level mobs. (why no augs with only +2 crit in them? :( )
3. pants with +1 skills.

Those goddamn drops from some of the mobs, like spider boots and casing helmet etc, they keep dropping even tho you leave ur backpack full for a year, and dont give exp are the MOST annoying.
Least annoying, maybe champion pieces? Every aug that drops in dc, is bad, i dont hunt for orbs anymore but i don't get that many in regular dc runs, so you can leave those.
You could set it so you can choose to never get dc crap again. Scrapping sux, cuz the java-link is 'illegal' and when you manual it you always click on equip or view on the last item, yea that's right, the last one.

champ is ok i guess ... bruts are cool (making them stack instead of taking a dam lot of slots would be nice :) )
orbs are ok :)
augs are ok as well, but I suggest making the augs better... i usually get somethin like 1% rampage or a small amount of rpt... maybe even make aug drops more rare... but make them better...
and same with pants which are potentially usefull, but make them better...

useful drops: Orbs, augs that arent weak, pants with +2 skills, bruts, champ/osteo
useless drops: everything else.
Quest items dont bother me so much because they are seperate and you can have an unlimited amount. I agree an aug backpack would be good. Now you can buy basic sets with gold i dont see the point of equipable DC items any more (except pants). The unique items could probably stay (like casing helmet, spider boots etc) if everything else was removed.
I think DC drops should be rethought anyway, add a few new items to all mobs in DC that drop into the quest backpack that can made into items/potions/augs using the cauldron. For example lvl 30+ mobs could drop an "essence of flame" and 3 * essence of flame + any non-player bound aug + mix gives the same aug but with the +ept changed to 10. You could even sell fuel in the gold store for these recipies. This would be far more interesting than worthless eqippable items you can scrap for neglible xp.

Im pretty sure that dc sets and orbs don't fall under the category of random drops since they come from specific mobs.
Quest items it doesn't matter since you never have to empty your quest bp.
The least annoying drops then would be pants and augs.
The most annoying frops are the ones that look like other items, for instance rings that look like the ring of the archmage, belts that look like mahamotti's belt, etc., and the non-set drops that pile up in your bp after it is full.
Random dc drops would be fine as long as they at least had the potential to be useful items for you or someone else, but with the equipment in the gold store even those are useless without a prestige reform.

Potions would be nice to have a split bag for like different classes. flasks/potions/elemental potions/resist potions had to buy a bigger pot bag and I don't like spending points on bag room*.
GUNWITCH
05-28-2009, 03:23 AM
Outwar could just scrap pants all together, and just add in a 4th equipable orb slot to compensate. Most of the guys here that have full raid skills would probably have close to 4 or 5+ sets of pants in there backpack just taking up room.
Scrap the blue +1 orbs. Increase the the rarity of green +2 n orange +2+2 n hell those purply blue +2+2+2 orbs. Perhaps even an option to buy an orb reconfigure from the treasury where u can reset the skills of one orb.
Augs - Neh enough mentioned already about the stats. Perhaps a few augs that also include elemental stats. I wouldn't mind finding a +20 Fire Damage +15 Rage +2% critical aug.
I'd like to see random rage pots. Or perhaps even a rage potion quest similar to the elemental potion quests. Why not make it so u can farm them ? Just perhaps make the drops for them super rare.
As u were trying to remove the crap that drops in d.c and this werent finished 100% can u also stop the crap like, spider boots, Scurvy Belt, Casing Helmet and Arrow Pendant as they still drop in your bp even when its full an they are totaly useless

Some or all of those items are required for quests, but I don't think they should drop unless you're on that step. Sure, they have some stats, but come on... at the time you can beat those mobs you will have better items, anyway.
I didnt know they were for a quest, but either way they are so annoying to have to clear your bp 2 or 3 times due to the fact they keep dropping ven thou your bp is full -__-

Looks like we're going to keep these dropping - they're decent gear, also needed for a quest, which makes them hard to filter out, but you're going to want them to drop, as we're going to be making a change in scrapping relatively soon.
Thanks for the heads up though.

but they're player bound, and are a lot worse than anything you would be using to actually kill the mob... they would be a lot better if the drop rate was lowered and mainly only dropped in TG

If you think those are decent gear you should try playing from start....by the time you can kill those you are way past those gear. They are worthless

Exactly, if you are going to have them continue dropping, make it from a lower level mob so that people have gear to use at lower levels now that nothing else drops and so higher levels don't have to deal with the drops that they clearly don't need except for quests no one seems to know of.

How can you have a quest item drop off a mob where the quest is used later in the game? It needs to drop off the mobs in that quest's level range...
If you have the actual solution to fix this, post it here, but be as specific as possible.
